ASSET MANAGER (D2) FINANCIAL SERVICES-HEAD OFFICE POST NUMBER: 610172 TOTAL REMUNERATION PACKAGE: R 779 749.73 p/a PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To maintain and control the organizations fixed assets, and to coordinate the recording of capital work in progress, asset acquisitions, asset disposals, control and management of assets and recording thereby ensuring that accurate records are kept for fixed assets in compliance with the PFMA and GRAP. QUALIFICATIONS • B Com Degree in Accounting/Financial Management is essential • Honours Degree in Accounting/Financial Management is desired EXPERIENCE • 3-4 years in accounting/finance • 2 years’ experience in fixed asset administration • 2 years with an Enterprise Resourcing Planning system, SAP experience KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS • Use and maintain all organizational resources efficiently, effectively and economically • Ensure all asset purchases are captured at their correct values • Fixed Asset Disposal and Transfers • Station Visits • Coordinate the bi-annual physical verification of assets • Month/Year-end Procedures KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED • Financial accounting knowledge • Financial policies and procedures knowledge (Ezemvelo/PFMA/GRAP/Treasury Regulations) • BBBEE knowledge and ERP system preferably SAP • Reconciliation skills • Computer literacy • Communication and interpersonal skills • Administrative and Auditing skills • Decision making skills • Attention to detail • Management skills DIRECTIONS TO APPLYING CANDIDATES: The following mandatory documents must be submitted. a) Please note that only a fully completed application form will be accepted, hence incomplete forms will not be considered. b) Certified copies of your qualifications and Identity Document (ID) are required.
