REHABILITATION MANAGER (5 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Centre : Umtata Regional Office Level : D – Lower Purpose Reporting to the Senior Manager Project Management N2 Biodiversity Offset Project, the Rehabilitation Manager will coordinate, implement, manage, monitor, and evaluate environmental rehabilitation projects. Requirements • A minimum 3-year tertiary (NQF 7) qualification in Environmental Management, Tourism Management or equivalent qualification in Natural Biodiversity, Biodiversity and Conservation, Environmental Management and Sustainability. • A minimum of 5 + years of project management with 5 years’ experience in Supervision. • A project management qualification will be an added advantage. • A Valid driver’s license. Key Performance Areas • Project Contracts Management: Manage the finalisation of project contracts with implementers. Coordinate and implement environmental rehabilitation projects. Develop project plans and manage the achievement of deliverables against project plans. • Procurement Management: Initiate tender processes for projects. • Manage Project Training: Conduct needs analysis and prioritise training needs. Manage the finalisation of Project Training plans with implementers. • Compliance: Manage the implementation of projects in compliance with all special conditions and all applicable regulations. • Financial Management: Compile budgets for project implementation. • Risk Management: Conduct risk assessments and cost benefit analyses. Pro-actively track and manage all risks. • People Management: Manage the performance of the subordinate/s in accordance with the policies and procedures of the ECPTA. INFRASTRUCTURE TECHNICAL OFFICER (3 YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Centre : Head Office (East London) Level : C – Lower Purpose Reporting to the Senior Manager: Project Management Unit, the Infrastructure Technical Officer will plan and coordinate maintenance activities and the development of new infrastructure projects and ensure compliance to legislative requirements. Requirements • National Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification in the Build Environment • Minimum of 3 (three) years relevant experience. • Project Management qualification would be advantageous. • Professional registration would be advantageous. • Valid Code B (08) driver’s license Key Performance Areas • Project Management: Coordinate and implementation of Infrastructure projects including the development of plans and reports, monitoring, and reporting, etc. • Contract Management: Manage Contracts, agreement between ECPTA and Service Provider. • Compliance: Manage the implementation of projects in line with SANS Building Regulations, and other statutory regulations. • Financial Management: Analysis and compile data for preparation of cost estimates, budgets and cash-flows, procurement, expenditure, and reporting. • Risk Management: Conduct a cost benefit analysis to determine possible risk, pro-active management of all possible risk, tracking and management of risk and reporting. NB: The position involves extensive travel and extensive stakeholder engagement. The candidate must be prepared to spend time outside the office.
