DEBTORS CLERK SIX MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (TG 6) R13 010.83 PER MONTH (INTERNAL & EXTERNAL) The organisation is calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of Debtors Clerk. The Debtors Clerk will be responsible to recover an agreed level of client debt by successfully negotiating and agreeing repayment terms through planned and consistent efforts in accordance with ICC policies and procedures. The incumbent will report to the Finance Manager or nominated representative. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES Minimum Qualifications • Grade 12 • Diploma in Accounting and or Financial Management is essential • 3 years' relevant experience in a high pressured environment (with a company size turnover great than R100 million) • Experience with the MFMA requirements. Attributes • Analysis and problem solving • Judgement and decision making • Information seeking/gathering • Ability to work under pressure • Integrity • Facilitating teamwork • Planning, organising and prioritising • Detailed and quality focused • Technical and professional knowledge/skills KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE • Administer Accounts Receivable Ledgers • Administer Debtors Age Analysis • Follow up on client deposits in terms of collections of monies due pre-event, including follow-ups of established payments within the sales contract. • Process deposits and refunds on the speed point machine provided that all relevant supporting documents and authorisations from the bank have been received • Allocate cash deposits into cash book in EBMS • Follow up on unresolved reconciling items in Creditor's Payment Group collected • Ensure that the debt age analysis schedule is circulated to senior management on a monthly basis. • Accurately recording parking income on a daily basis • Assist with speed point technical/software-related issues • Provide assistance to management in the compilation and analysis of data/reports. This includes, but is not limited to: I. Debtors ageing report II. The Stores Controller: Beverage will be responsible for maintaining the supply and demand of inventory, and ensuring that there are adequate stocks available. The incumbent will therefore receive raw material, issue raw material, maintain stock and inventory balances by ensuring that relevant processes and policies of the organisation are adhered to. The incumbent will report to the Manager Finance Manager or nominated representative. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES Minimum Qualifications • Grade 12/ Senior National Certificate • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role Attributes • Analysis and problem solving • Judgement and decision making • Information seeking/gathering • Ability to work under pressure • Integrity • Facilitating teamwork • Planning, organising and prioritising • Detailed and quality focused • Technical and professional knowledge/skills KEY PERFORMANCE / MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THIS ROLE • Achieve accurate results by making sure that correct items, quantity and supplier and price are received • Food is received at the correct temperature, in perfect condition in a state that is safe to consume and/or store in order to avoid food poisoning • Pack in accordance to FIFO to avoid stock reaching its expiry date before it is used. • Tracing information is correct in case product needs to be recalled • Requisition is approved by relevant manager or department • Ensure timeous and accurate capturing of information on the system • Ensure accurate recording of stock take figures is adhered to • Ensure that goods received are in good quality standards • Conduct and supervise stock take • Report to management about status of inventory.
