CLOSING DATE: 06 SEPTEMBER 2019 ENQUIRIES: (012) 421 7006 (Louisa) / (012) 427 8184 (Tania) POSITION: DIRECTOR: CYBERSECURITY OPERATIONS (REF NO: D2) SALARY: An all-inclusive package of R1 057 326 per annum CENTRE: Hatfield, Pretoria REQUIREMENTS:A relevant undergraduate qualification at NQF level 7 Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering as recognized by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA). A post graduate qualification in Information Security will be an added advantage. Experience in Information Security and related fields and a minimum of 5 years’ experience at middle / senior managerial level of which at least 3 years’ experience must be in the ICT sector. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: At an advanced level required in the following: Strategic capability and leadership, programme and project management, financial management, service delivery and innovation, problem-solving and analysis, risk management, change management, knowledge management, radio-communication technical skills, Understand Kali Linux, client orientation and customer focused, corporate governance and good communications skills (both written and verbal). KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: The successful candidate will develop Cyber Security Operations framework in South Africa in order to develop a Cyber Inspectorate. ● Understand both light and dark web and its implications to national cyber ecosystem. ● Continuously study and understand global cyber environment. ● Done through participation in organizations such a London Action Plan, Spamhaus etc. ● Track botnets and spam trends and in the world and how they affect South Africa cyberspace. ● Develop and implement cyber model for The State and country. ● Develop latest COBIT Framework. ● Understand Desk Reference Guide. ● Develop Risk Control Management System and Risk assessment handbook. ● Develop a cyber resilience framework. ● Build a malware library and categorize all malware by time and impact. ● Build a cyber fraud analysis framework. ● Develop inspection tools for private cloud. ● Develop new cyber asset attack vectors in line with SA broader cyber strategy. ● Update CAPM/PMP. ● Keep country utility SCADA inventor and inspect regularly. ● Coordinate and formalised Cyber Security Operations through Cyber Security Operations framework. ● Provide guidance and leadership on matters of the Cyber Security Operations in line with the Electronic Communications and Transaction (ECT Act) and any other relevant regulations, framework, and policies. ● Work with all international institutions involved in cyber such as CERT, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), ICANN Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). ● Facilitate and coordinate the performance of the Cyber Security Operations with other relevant entities in South Africa. ● Manage human and financial resources in line with the PFMA in order to achieve the Directorate’s objectives.
