FIRE FIGHTER X2 [Task Grade 09: Salary Scale R245, 325.00 – R318, 479.00 per annum plus benefits] Minimum Requirements: • Grade 12. • Certificate in Fire Fighter 1 Course. • HAZMAT Awareness. • Valid First Aid Certificate or Basic Ambulance Course. • At least 2-3 years’ experience in firefighting environment. • Public driving permit (PrDP) • Valid Code C1 driver’s license. Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): • Respond to fire and all emergencies incidents, • Conducting the day-to-day preparedness of equipment to respond to fire and emergency incidents. • Undertakes Specific activities during disaster and / or establishes and communicates potential risk hazard situations. • Rendering basic first aid to rescue victims to help recuperation and supporting the medical team with transporting/ holding victims. • Attend to Risk visits, drills, lectures, station duties, control room duties and humanitarian services, • Check Inventory and operate all appliances and equipment, • Candidates must be prepared to be transferred to any Local Municipality within Chris Hani District Municipality. TECHNICAL ASSISTANT x 3 1 X KOMANI & WHITTLESEA, 2 XTARKASTAD & HOFER MAYER WSP [Task Grade 06 - Salary Scale R147, 455.00 – R191, 419.00 per annum plus benefits Minimum Requirements: • Grade 10/Standard 08 • Basic engineering studies majoring in electrical / mechanical studies or relevant qualification on electrical or mechanical at NQF level 3. • At least 12 years relevant experience in electro mechanic. • Physical fit and able-bodied Key Responsibilities: (include but are not limited to) • Performs labouring activities with providing support to immediate superior during major and minor electrical and mechanical installation, • Repairs and maintenance work by holding parts and components during repair and replacement, • Washing, cleaning, and attending to general housekeeping, tools, equipment storage and care activities. • Checking equipment condition and load and off-load for transportation. • Monitor diesel levels/ diesel of stand-by Generators and deliver the diesel to the lister engines. • Coordinate activities with local municipalities, small businesses, and the Provincial departments.
