INTEGRATED REPORTING & PROJECTS SPECIALIST (FIXED TERM CONTRACT UP TO 31 MARCH 2030) Reporting to Executive Manager (Innovation & Technology): the incumbent in this position will be required to manage data for reporting purposes, create and manage dashboards, develop effective strategies for data analysis and reporting and track progress and digitization projects and report as such. Minimum Requirements: • B Comm / B Degree in Business Administration, Project Management or related. • An NQF level 8 qualification will be an added advantage. • Relevant 3-5 years project management and reporting experience Key Performance Areas • Operates with various data sources (from Research data originating from the Research and Skills Planning unit) and transforms that data into meaningful insights. • Shares the dashboards and educates the rest of CHIETA on how the dashboards can be used, and the meaning of the information reported. • Shares insights with the rest of CHIETA and ensure that data that emanates from research is used appropriately by key decision-makers. • Assists with providing critical data and information to the Ideation committee. • Creates automatically updated and interactive reports and dashboards for ongoing data-backed decision-making. • Designs and implements reporting management initiatives through the CHIETA, in line with the CHIETA’s digital business initiatives. • Provides key recommendations and test reporting capabilities on various systems that are considered for implementation. • Improves CHIETA’s reporting capabilities on existing systems and make recommendations on digitization system and their reporting capabilities on future, or soon to be implemented systems. • Communicates reporting capabilities for each of the digitization systems. • Manages digitization projects in an agile manner and reports on success and challenges. • Recommends mitigation plans when projects face challenges and are gearing for critical paths. • Monitors the operation of policy and procedures in order to ensure the integrity of CHIETA. • Develops and maintains a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of policy and risk activity. • Establishes and maintain a system to monitor the dispositions of results communicated to management. • Ensures that all action plans are in place to address internal and external audit findings and monitor progress against these plans. • Ensures compliance with relevant legislation and policy frameworks within functional area to prevent fruitless, wasteful and irregular expenditure. • Works collaboratively with stakeholders by establishing and maintaining effective networks and working relationships. • Represents CHIETA in meetings with stakeholders. • Solves problems creatively whilst demonstrating a high level of integrity in line with CHIETA’S core values. • Manages key strategic relationships in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements. • Contributes to the budget preparation process. • Ensures the effective, efficient, economical and transparent use of financial and other resources. • Monitors expenditure against budget and ensures spending occurs within budgetary limits. • Explores opportunities to reduce costs. • Ensures divisional, regional and departmental budget monitoring in line with CHIETA financial guidelines. • Develop project plans for the CHIETA Smart Skills Centres and ensure that all centres are fully operational at all times.
