CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES EDUCATION & TRAINING AUTHORITY (CHIETA) QUALIFICATIONS DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT PRACTITIONER (FIXED TERM CONTRACT UP TO 31 MARCH 2030) Reporting to the Manager: Qualifications Design and Development, the incumbent in this position should co-ordinate, monitor and report on qualifications design and development projects and relevant activities of the business unit.
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field. • Must 3-5 years proven working experience in business, skills development, skills administration, or similar environment. • Must have knowledge and understanding of the QCTO operations, the chemical sector and occupational qualifications design and development processes. Key Performance Areas • Development and submission of learnerships for registration through QCTO and DHET requirements and processes. • Coordination and monitoring of the development of qualification design and development related projects. • Coordination and monitoring of the development of learning materials for occupational qualifications and skills programme for the chemical sector. • Co-ordination and monitoring of the development of the External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISA) Tools or Exam papers and RPL Toolkits. • Co-ordination, development, and monitoring of the Qualifications Assessment Specifications (QAS Addendums) for occupational qualifications and skills programmes registered for the chemical sector. • Co-ordination of the development of occupational qualifications, skills programmes and any other relevant programmes identified for or required by the chemical sector. • Ability to understand and apply policies, regulations, procedures relevant for occupational qualifications design and development. • Conduct re-engineering activities utilising lean-based principles (reduce wastage, remove bottlenecks). • Administration of the admin budget for qualifications design and development. • Identify risks and relevant controls to prevent unwanted events (performance audit checks). • Produce relevant appropriate reports for different audiences and stakeholders. • Administration and safe keeping of relevant files, documents and records for reference and audit purposes.
