BROADBAND INFRACO Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB RE-ADVERTISEMENT NETWORK SPECIALIST X2 24 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (USAASA PROJECT) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Engineer NOC, the incumbent will • Resolve escalated network problems for IP/MPLS and Transmission • Ensuring that customers’ SLAs are achieved via quick restorations. • Follow troubleshooting processes to identify the fault. Log fault and track its progress to resolution. • Keep the customer informed as to the progress on fault resolution. • Keep customers informed of progress during network outages. • Manage escalations to Vendor/supplier. • Ensure that the network is operational and monitored. • Produce performance reports for routers, switches, and services. Qualification and Experience: • National Diploma in Electrical or Computer Systems Engineering. • A minimum of five years' experience operating and supporting IP/MPLS and Carrier Ethernet networks is required. An understanding of optical networks will be advantageous. Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB RE-ADVERTISEMENT NETWORK SPECIALIST (RESIDENTIAL BROADBAND) 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (PRESIDENTIAL EMPLOYMENT STIMULUS) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Engineer NOC, the incumbent will: • Designing wireless and fixed network solutions that meet the needs of the organization and its users. • Working with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure that network equipment is properly installed, configured, and maintained to provide reliable internet services to residential customers. • Installing and configuring wireless network hardware, including access points, routers, switches, and firewalls. • Conducting network surveys to determine signal strength, interference, and coverage areas. • Configuring and optimizing network settings for maximum performance and security. • Troubleshooting network issues and resolving problems with connectivity, signal strength, and network speed. • Monitoring ISPs network performance and proactively identifying and resolving issues. • Collaborating with other stakeholders (ISPs) to integrate wireless networks with other systems and applications. • Providing training and support to users on how to connect to and use the wireless and wired network. • Ensuring that network security protocols are up-to-date and that the network is protected from potential threats and attacks.
