Broadband Infraco, a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB ADVERTISEMENT TECHNICIAN (CAPE TOWN) 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (SA-CONNECT PROJECT) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Supervisor: Operations and Maintenance, the incumbent will: • Be required to engage in the process of maintaining network in terms of capacity, reliability, and sustainability. • Conduct site surveys, assist with installations at facilities, assist with site space acquisition, service testing (Layer 2 and 3), and conduct quality inspections on the SA Connect project. • Support CPM in coordinating project management activities, resources, and information throughout the project life cycle with all deliverables. • Installation, commission, confirm quality standard and compliance of newly installed equipment and outdoor infrastructure to all BBI standard and specifications. • He/she must have in depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of fibre optic, transmission equipment, DC power systems, IP configurations, alarms monitoring systems with advanced analytical skills for the analysis of faults, the interpretation of test results and the provision of optimum solutions. • Asset management and verification. • He/she must be willing to work long hours. Qualification and Experience: • Candidates must have BTech/BEng, N6 National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (HC/LC) or equivalent. • Registration with ECSA will be an advantage. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry, particularly in network maintenance. • Have in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and understanding of: Fibre optic. Transmission equipment. IP configuration. AC/DC power systems. Environmental alarm monitoring systems. Test equipment (OTDR, OLTS, etc.). Fusion splicing. Interpretation of test results and the provision of optimum solutions. • Microsoft Office 365, strong in applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. • Be familiar with ITU-T Standards. • Valid driver’s licence is a requirement. Broadband Infraco, a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB RE-ADVERTISEMENT OPERATOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGER 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (PRESIDENTIAL EMPLOYMENT STIMULUS) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Programme Management Officer: the incumbent will: • Responsible for managing the relationships between the Fund and the private broadband operators that may apply and receive grants. • Canvas potential applications to the Fund to raise awareness about the Fund and provide information on how to apply. • Develop and implement the Broadband Access Fund's stakeholder engagement strategy and model. • Develop detailed selection criteria and methodology for scoring applications. • Working with the Fund team to assess and manage the stakeholder engagements /relationship. • To build, managing, preserve trusting relationships with operators that are successful and assisting them to meet the Fund's technical and reporting requirements. • Manage engagement with the Private sector Internet Service Providers/ Fibre Network Operators and any other interested operators. • Develop and manage effective communication with positive image of the Fund in the industry, excellent communicator, able to work with sales and marketing teams and build rapport. • Resolve operator concerns quickly and effectively, forward upselling and cross-selling opportunities and promote high-quality sales, supply and service processes. • Set up the overall stakeholder engagement governance and creating realistic goals and deliver timelines. • Develops and manages one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups. • Identify and manage key stakeholders, explain difficult concepts and issues clearly to stakeholders and understanding their expectations for a successful programme. Qualification and Experience: • Grade 12 matric • BCom Marketing or related qualification. • Post Grad Business Management qualification • More than 10 years’ experience as a Relationship Manager • ISP/ MVNO / FNOs industry knowledge and relationships with potential applicants to the Fund. • Experience providing client or account management services in the ICT sector. • 10 years’ experience in the Telecoms industry with In-depth understanding of residential broadband deployment. • Experience of fund or grant scheme marketing. Broadband Infraco, a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB RE-ADVERTISEMENT CAPEX SPECIALIST 36 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (SA-CONNECT PROJECT) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Programme Management Officer, CapEx Specialist will: • Develop, implement, and manage Projects CapEx plan as received from the business and the applicable roadmap. • Develop and maintain Business Case models for the various project types as implemented by Broadband Infraco, i.e., Revenue Generation, Revenue Protection, Essential Upgrades and Operational CapEx investment. • Develop and manage project business case for review and approval by the various business structures including Capital Investment Committee, EXCO, Board and Shareholder. • Drive or provide support on the business initiative to source project funding from funding institutions including Developmental and Commercial banks. • Manage project capital expenditures against approved and resolve business requirements for additional funding/substitution needs. • provide regular analysis reports on project costs on weekly, monthly, and as and when required for the project. • Develop periodic project financial forecasts and prepare project change request notes for additional budget requirements to follow approval process. • Develop project Profit & Loss reports for review and archiving as part of the lessons learnt for every project at completion stage. • Track and manage the project WIP to sign off capitalization files of project assets for the asset Controller to transfer to Fixed Asset Register (FAR). • Develop and maintain constructive and coordinated working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments, collaborate departments managers to establish and manage capital investment priorities. • Ensure strict adherence to the Broadband Access Fund Terms of Reference, and Broadband Infraco Capital Programme Management policies, governance, processes, and procedures. • Identify and manage key stakeholders, explain difficult concepts and issues clearly to stakeholders and understanding their expectations for a successful Programme/project fund. Qualification and Experience: • Grade 12 matric • BCom Accounting. • Post grad qualification in Project Funding or similar. • 5 years’ experience as a CapEx Specialist in Project Office environment. • 3 years of experience in the telecommunication network build projects. • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) • Microsoft suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
