Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB ADVERTISEMENT SENIOR MANAGER: FINANCE 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (PRESIDENTIAL EMPLOYMENT STIMULUS) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will: • Participate and make contributions on the development of the company corporate plan and budget annually. • Establish efficient and effective system of financial management. • In conjunction with the relevant line managers, drive the development and implementation of measures to avoid, reduce or mitigate the cost saving measures within the company. • Provide technical advice regarding compliance with accounting standards. • Establish policies and procedures to assist users in discharging their responsibilities. • Management of Financial Report and Statutory Reports. • Ensure accuracy of financial and performance reporting. • Coordinate and prepare statutory reports on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis or as required. • Prepare annual financial statement. • Monitoring of currents accounts, investment and cashbook reconciliations. • Management of the company’s Assets Management function. • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow. • Monitor the company’s financial performance to optimise returns of investments • Managing the company payroll function and statutory reconciliations. • Ensure compliances with statutory and regulatory requirements, including statutory audit, taxes etc. • Management of purchase requisitions. • Management of finance business unit and budgetary requirements. • Manage the process of creating new project accounts and their subsequent closure upon completion of such process. • Management of external audit functions and audit fees. Qualification and Experience: • Bachelor of Commerce Degree. • CA registration would be an added advantage. • 6–10 years’ experience in Financial Accounting and Financial Management in a corporate environment. • 5 years’ management experience. • Knowledge of Financial Accounting standards, IFRS & Companies Act • Knowledge of Public sector legislation, Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations. • Knowledge of corporate taxations (Income Tax, VAT and PAYE). • Knowledge of corporate governance protocols, king III reports. • Management of integrated financial accounting system. • Professionally affiliated to SAICA. Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB ADVERTISEMENT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM CONTRACT (PRESIDENTIAL EMPLOYMENT STIMULUS) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the incumbent will: • Analyse financial and non-financial information to provide reports to stakeholders. • Measure actual vs budget and quarterly projection vs budget. • Revise projections on a quarterly basis with cost centre managers (guide and assist). • Consolidate projection input from cost centres into one report. • Provide reports (actual v budget) to cost centre managers to assist them with remaining within budget. • Alert management to potential problems and highlight results. • Provide guidelines, deadlines, templates, input information to cost centre managers and co – ordinate the budgeting process. • Liaise with cost centres and Executives regarding detailed budget-related issues prior to submission to the board. • Analyse all information obtained for reasonableness. • Consolidate input from cost centres into an overall organisation budget. • Finalise financial and HR budget for Board approval. • Undertake manual input into the accounting system. • Personnel development to ensure productive staff, provide on the job training (at this stage not limited to management accountant staff only) and ensure positive working environment. • Make figures available to the auditors, Deal with auditor queries and proofread annual financial statements. • Analyse financial potential of business cases and make a recommendation regarding feasibility, e.g., internal rate of return, loans etc. • Check VAT and PAYE returns for correctness. • Deal with income tax and VAT queries. Qualification and Experience: • CA (SA) • Management Accounting qualification. • 10+ years’ experience in all Financial aspects of business - Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Tax and Auditing. • Understand the Broadband Infraco business, and the relationship between the business and support functions and finance. • Abreast of developments in Finance e.g., through SAICA courses. • Experience in the management, coaching and mentoring of staff. • Good understanding of the PFMA and its applicable in the Broadband Infraco context, as well as legislation and regulations impacting the organisation.
