Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB RE-ADVERTISEMENT PROJECT ACCOUNTANT (PERMANENT) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Senior Manager: Management Accountant, the incumbent will: • At the conception of each project create a system to manage the project numbers. • Manage the project lifecycle in terms of periods when execution will take place. • Ensure assets are registered and allocation of costs to assets. • Liaison for cost control system between Broadband Infraco and the supplier. • Keeps overall track of costs of projects and projects activities. • Produces reports for Projects Managers for their own cost control purposes. • Calculate retentions and ensures that an accurate record is kept and payments are monitored. • Trial balance review and management of cost re-allocation, incorrect bookings to ensure correct allocation of costs. • Collates all project invoices so that these are correctly allocated within the project environment. • Ensures all correct documentation for purchase orders is obtained. • Verifies all claims and follows through on payment. • Direct and collate the budgeting process through effective liaison, scheduling and controlling to ensure alignment with the business and financial plan. • Ensure and perform the timeous, relevant and integrated Management reporting through the necessary system support, target dates, process co- ordination and relevant reports within required deadline. Qualification and Experience: • Degree or Diploma in Accounting. • 5+ years’ experience in a financial environment with exposure to accounts payable, ledger accounts, asset management, capitalisation of assets, operating vs capital, understanding of the transfer from work in progress to capital asset, accrual accounting. • Experience in project management environment. • Understand computer and financial systems and capital accounting process. • Report writing. Broadband Infraco, is a long distance national and international optic fibre connectivity network infrastructure provider based in Radiokop, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate to the following employment opportunity: INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL JOB ADVERTISEMENT MANAGER PROJECT X2 (PERMANENT) Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Programme Management Officer, the incumbent will: • Prepare and submit project investment pack for approval by the respective head of Capital Programme Management, Capital Investment Steering Committee, EXCO, Board and Shareholder as per Delegation of Authority. • Implement fibre and radio network deployment, for both wholesale service provider and residential connectivity. • Review project scope of work, BOM, BOQ and conduct scope definition workshop and follow up on outstanding items to conclusion. • Coordinate professional engineering services, application for Wayleaves and site space acquisition. • Compile Project Charter and Project Management Plan including identifying and contracting the project deliverables, milestones, constraints, risks and management support requirements. • Manage project life cycle with all deliverables and outputs as agreed per stage, ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting site visits and quality assurance. • Manage project schedule, implement good project management practice using project management tools, monitor project progress, eliminate blockages, handle issues and ensure that clients’ requirements are met. • Manage costs, contracts, SHEQ Compliance, Risk and change. • Manage the project team, key stakeholder and external suppliers/contractors by conducting regular meetings and demanding progress on a weekly basis and provide regular progress feedback according to the Broadband Infraco standards. • Managing service provider queries, receiving and signing -off on the payment schedule and approving payment on progress, and ensuring the required level of support to prevent contract disputes and delays. • Manage project closure by planning and conducting the project hand -over to the operational area, finalise all outstanding service provider issues and payments, and complete capitalisation process. • Conduct a post project review and identify lessons learnt, complete the project closure report present to the steering committee, complete the internal resource performance reviews and provide to the managers. • Ensure strict adherence to Broadband Infraco Capital Programme Management policies, governance, processes and procedures, continuous management of SHEQ aspects of the Project. • Invoke escalation process according to Service Level Agreement (SLA) and escalation matrix. Qualification and Experience: • 8 years of Telecommunication industry experience, both Fibre and Radio network deployments. • Grade 12 and Diploma in Electrical Engineering or similar technical qualification. • PMBOK related Project Management course or similar • 5 years of project management experience in the Telecommunication industry.
