Aeronautical Planning Analyst - Grade D2
An exciting vacancy exists at Corporate for an experienced Aeronautical Planning Analyst within the Network Planning Service Standards and Performance division.
 
Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Senior Specialist Network Planning and will be responsible but not limited to the following:

• Conduct research, benchmarking, and data analysis.
• Stress test assumptions and propose strategy changes at the appropriate times.
• Generate and develop annual aeronautical revenue budget and forecast.
•  Participate and provide inputs to national forecast committee.
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders and planners from Airports and IAM to align operational and infrastructure plans with the network strategy and plans.
• Provide input into the permission (5 year business plan to economic regulator) application.
• Develop tools and methods to drive the collection and reconciliation of accurate operational data and statistics for airline billing processes.
• Agree operational planning parameters with external stakeholders in areas where they are directly involved.
• Build, support and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organisational goals. Implement remedial actions where required.
• Update all relevant documents when changes are made to budget and forecast.

 
Technical Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required:

• Matric/ Grade 12 is essential.
• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years - 480 credits) Industrial Engineering/ Civil Engineering / Architect / Town and Regional Planning / Business Studies in build environment/Operations Management/ Statistics/ Economics is essential.
• 5 years’ experience in Airport Planning and Process Optimisation.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Access and other database skills.
• Intermediate knowledge of Programming.
• Intermediate knowledge of Analytical Analysis and Business Intelligence tools.
• Driver’s License code B.

Key Performance Output
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Airfield Services and will be responsible for the following:
·    Accurately capture air traffic movement data which include aircraft landing, take-off and parking times.
·    Monitor all radio frequencies and escalate non-compliance.
