Job description • The primary role is to conduct post investment due diligence and monitoring of investments in your allocated NEF portfolio. • To conduct due diligence on application from investees for further funding and obtain approval from the relevant committees per DOA. • Periodic site visits to investee companies. • Oversee investee legal compliance. • Investee valuations and impairment calculations. • Quarterly risk analysis and reporting of investee companies (NEF internal and external). • Liaison with internal and external audit departments. • Manage the NEF mentor panel of consultants per NEF investment. • Monitor and report back on Empowerment Dividend data. • Early identification / flagging of potential areas of non-compliance and defaulting clients. • Attend investee board (if nominated) as and when required. • Attend internal departmental committee meetings as and when necessary. Minimum requirements Qualifications • Graduate degree – minimum B.Com. (Business and Finance, Accounting). • Honours degree – B.Com. (Finance, Accounting or CTA). Experience/Skills required • At least 5 years deal making/investment experience. • Strong Project Management and Corporate Finance and/or Venture Capital experience (minimum of 5 years). • Completed articles or have strong audit experience. • Good working knowledge of key commercial statues and regulations (e.g. Taxation, Companies Act, Commercial Law, Litigation and Insolvency Law). • Financial modelling. • Ability to analyse and interpret financial statements. • Conduct enterprise valuations and exits on large complex deals. • Proven track record of managing a diverse investment portfolio from a post investment perspective • Various industry sector experience. • Portfolio risk analysis experience. • PC: MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint competency at an advanced level • Strong report writing skills • Understanding of enterprise valuation and exit valuation methodologies from a post investment perspective PLEASE APPLY HERE FINANCIAL ANALYST Listing reference: nef_000027 Listing status: Online Apply by: 18 December 2023 Position summary Industry: Financial Services Job category: Banking, Finance, Insurance. Job description • Assist TWR Investment Associates with an in-depth financial analysis and financial modelling of the NEF’s distressed businesses. • Financial forecasting and development of scenarios for the NEF’s distressed businesses which are in turnaround phase. • Identification of appropriate risk mitigation strategies and interventions when structuring the deal. • Perform liaison role between TWR and other NEF’s units (Legal Services, Post Investment and Finance). • Track and monitor all changes in respect of loan restructurings approved especially changes in deal structure, loan instalments to finance. • TWR performance reporting on a monthly basis to the team. • Timely update and submit TWR reports (debit orders batches, clients in arrears etc.) • Assist TWR Investment Associates with preparations of committee reports. • Attend all committee meetings including TWR monitoring meetings and prepare timeously and adequately for such meetings. • Timely and accurate actioning of Portfolio Management Committee decisions. Minimum requirements • 3 years’ worth of experience in a finance and/or investment environment, • Sound understanding of the technical aspects relating to business turnarounds, workouts and restructuring, • Good track record of sound decision making ability. Job description Database administration • Receive, stamp and ensure compliance on the database application • Register applications with complete documents • Communicate the status of the application to new suppliers within agreed timeframes • Custodian of suppliers' records Processing of requisitions and orders: • Request written quotes in line with DoA • Provide procurement input on the requisition created and advise to ensure compliance • Ensure completeness of required documents, inter alia BEE requirements, supporting documents, order numbers, etc. • Ensure processing of quotes within agreed SLA Evaluate Tenders: • Process and request for quotes for all orders in excess of 500k. • Coordinate meeting with technical teams • Compile BEE and price evaluation and ensure technical evaluation is completed • Consolidate the scoring and liaise with the TEC for procurement recommendation • Ensure internal and external customers are informed at all times • Responsible for correctly loading of contracts Expedite all outstanding orders • Compile a list of orders created and not paid on monthly basis • Track on contracted services and report on monthly basis • Follow up on and ensure payment within agreed SLA • Compile weekly report of outstanding orders Advisory Services: • Solely adjudicating purchases up to delegated authority. • Reviewing contract awards as secretary to Procurement Tender Committees. • Acting as the NEF representative signing of contracts up to delegated authority. • Managing compliance with client needs, as well as audit and adjudication requirement. Minimum requirements Qualifications • B Degree or equivalent tertiary qualification. Experience / Skills Required •7 years of experience in the SCM environment and financial experience •Extensive experience in managing tender processes and achieving clean audit outcomes •Thorough knowledge of all procurement principles and practices. •Good knowledge of government Procurement System i.e. PPPFA, PFMA, BBBEE PLEASE APPLY HERE
