Job description KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Accounts preparation · Electronically download bank statements daily. · Upload bank statements into IFS and perform balance check to ensure that upload was successful. · Process transactions as per the bank statement to the accurate general ledger accounts. · Control over accuracy and timeous completion of control and suspense account reconciliations. · Follow up on all outstanding reconciling items on a regular basis and ensure that they are cleared timeously. Month-end activities · Control the monthly activities associated with period-end closing on the IFS system. · Perform reconciliations from source documentation to general ledger. · Obtain bank statements for all investments. · Calculate and process all interest income received/accrued for that month. · Preparation of VAT reconciliation and VAT form for payment. Reporting · Assist where necessary in the production of monthly management reports for the information needs of Top management. · Compile and maintain interest income schedule for all Mintek investments. Compliance · Maintain reconciliation files for all balance sheet accounts. · Processing of year-end transactions the compilation of working papers to substantiate the content of the annual financial statements. · Compile annual financial statements based on International Financial Reporting Standards for Mintek and its subsidiary. · Prepare and compile audit file with supporting documentation for all balance sheet accounts. · Perform consolidation of accounts and compile group AFS accordingly. · Through the ongoing application of knowledge make recommendations with respect to the development of policy, systems and procedures that promote the general ledger function. · Assist with year-end audit. Experience in fuel cell and electrolyser electrocatalyst development as well as MEA fabrication is a requirement. Knowledge of electrochemistry, electrochemical processes technology, precious metals heterogeneous catalysis, or electrocatalyst preparation will be an advantage. Job description KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: § Develop electrocatalyst for PEM electrolyser &/or fuel cell applications; § Conduct electrochemical & physicochemical analyses of electrocatalysts; § Contribute to PEM electrocatalyst research within team; § Undertake pilot production of certain MEA and electrocatalyst products; § Ensure that projects are executed on time and within budget; § Ensure that SHEQ procedures are strictly adhered to and that project work is executed with maximum overall technical efficiency; § Actively participate in the training, guidance and motivation of junior staff.
