LEPELLE NORTHERN WATER Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) is a Water Board established in terms of Water Services Act No. 108 of 1997 as a bulk water supply and related water services provider, operating several water purification works and wastewater treatment schemes in the Limpopo Province. Applications are hereby invited for the following vacancies:

Key responsibilities: The incumbent will be responsible for the following: • Ensuring that board resolutions,approved plans and strategies are implemented • Ensure operational efficiencies and responsible utilisation of the entity resources (human, financial, assets, and other) for attainment of the entity's goals and objectives • Ensure continuous monitoring and reporting to the board on implementation of the plans • Timeously ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory compliance by the entity • Report directly to the board and board committees as per the performance agreement • Turning around the LNW reputation as the preferred water services provider • Manage the interface between the board and management • Lead the development and implementation of plans, strategies, policies and other supportive tools for the realisation of the set goals and fulfilment of the mandate • Be accountable for the administrative decisions and ensure clean administration in the entity • Build, maintain, mend partnerships and stakeholder relations that are critical for the LNW to function optimally • Ensure regulatory compliance by the entity. DEPARTMENT: CORPORATE SERVICES GENERAL MANAGER: CORPORATE SERVICES • 5-YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT • (REF: HRM/19/20) Remuneration package is negotiable at Paterson Broad Band E, considering LNW remuneration standards as well as the level of qualifications and experience. Minimum job requirements: • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources or Social Science with at least 8-10 years' relevant experience, of which 5 must be at senior managerial level • A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources Management or Organisational Development or an MBA would be an added advantage • A valid driver's licence and eligibility to register with the relevant professional body is mandatory. Key responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Executive, the incumbent will be responsible for: • Provision of strategic direction and leadership on human capital development and management • Positioning the corporate services as a strategic business partner • Development of annual performance plan for the department • Creating an organisational culture that will attract, develop, engage and retain talented human capital • Positioning LNW as the employer of choice • Developing, implementing and institutionalising a talent management framework for integrated capacity building to ensure human capital for the future • Developing an effective leadership succession strategy • Reporting to the Human Resources & Remuneration Committee of the Board on a quarterly basis and providing advice on human resources related activities • Ensuring an organisational high-performance culture, effective labour relations management and employee wellbeing • Develop a talent acquisition strategy that will ensure the achievement of employment equity targets.
