INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT COMPANY SECRETARY (FIVE (5) YEARS FIXED TERM PERFORMANCE-BASED CONTRACT) Annual Total cost to Company (R1 391 339.04 – R 2 087 008.56) Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) is a Provincial Government agency established under the auspices of the Department of Economic Development, to provide non-financial support; financial support; and coordinate stakeholders for the benefit of SMMEs in Gauteng. Purpose of position Develops, implements, and monitors the company’s secretarial, legal, risk and compliance policies in support of the strategic plan, statutory and governance requirements. Ensures the required legal compliance of all business units and establishes compliance processes and/or standards accordingly. Key Responsibilities: • Provides the directors with guidance as to their duties, responsibilities and powers and ensures that the directors are aware of all legislation, regulations and governance requirements relevant to GEP (e.g., Companies’ Act, King IV, Provincial Government requirements, etc.) • Ensures that the minutes of Board meetings and its sub-committees are correctly recorded and actioned. • Certifies in the annual financial statements that GEP has lodged all statutory returns with the relevant authorities and ensures that the preparation of the AFS is fully compliant with all requirements. • Identify and evaluate new corporate governance developments in order to assess the impact of such and advise Directors and Management of their implications. • Reports on Board (and sub-committee) performance • Develop and review Board and Committee Charters • Oversees and advises on risk management and compliance in GEP. • Provides specialist advice to the CEO and Board on strategically important aspects of governance and aspects requiring management intervention. • Participates in GEP budgeting process. • Oversees and directs the department’s financial reporting. • Continuously reviews and improves work and reporting processes in the department, ensuring sound management and full compliance with all relevant standards. • Manage the manual and electronic system for Board Meetings, Minutes and Board resolutions. • Ensure that performance agreements, performance appraisals and development plans are developed and implemented for all staff within the unit. Minimum Requirements • An LLB Degree or relevant Equivalent Qualification. • Admitted Attorney of the High Court • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Corporate Governance with exposure to PFMA and King IV with 5 years at Management Level in Corporate Governance • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve the company's goals and objectives. • Manage implementation of marketing plans and ensure are aligned with the overall business strategy, marketing, communications and brand strategy. • Plan and execute online digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, such as search engines, social media, email marketing, and display advertising. • Lead and oversee the execution of the company's social media presence by developing engaging content, manage social media platforms, and monitoring user engagement. • Monitor campaign performance, optimize results, and provide regular reports to the management team. • Lead and oversee utilization of web scraping techniques to gather relevant data and measure the performance of marketing campaigns; analyze data to identify key insights and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies. • Develops an action plan that addresses goals and specifies objectives and work plans on an annual basis. • Monitor industry trends and analyses market trends and developments to makes recommendations to the business accordingly. • Develops and maintains research activities aimed at monitoring progress towards business objectives. • Builds in procedures for monitoring, and for modifying strategies based on changes in the external environment or within GEP. • Analyses market trends and developments and makes recommendations to the business accordingly • Demonstrates value add to stakeholders to ensure buy in and support on all organisational design and development initiatives. • Monitors the competitive landscape for such opportunities and conducts feasibility studies to ascertain the brands capacity or willingness to take further • Ensures and enables clear and open communication with stakeholders. • Manages employees in the functional area and their performance. • Lead and execute GEP social media. Minimum Requirements • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication or NQF relevant qualification; Digital Marketing qualification will be an added advantage. • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Marketing and Communications. • A valid Code EB driver’s licence and own car Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes) • Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, social media management, and online advertising. • Proficient in web scraping techniques and data analysis tools. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership and team management abilities. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Familiarity with market research methodologies. • Up to date with the latest marketing trends and best practices. INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT SENIOR MANAGER: INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT (TWO (2) YEARS FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Annual Total cost to Company: (R 1 244 432.29 – R 1 742 206.68) Gauteng Enterprise Propeller (GEP) is a Provincial Government agency established under the auspices of the Department of Economic Development, to provide non-financial support; financial support; and coordinate stakeholders for the benefit of SMMEs in Gauteng. Purpose of position To support SMMEs and COOPS through the commissioning of detailed analysis of business needs and tactically advising on financial business development support initiatives/ interventions thereby enabling the achievement of GEP’s strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities: • Analyses GEP’s strategy to determine the objectives of the unit. • Develops an operational plan aligned to GEP’s strategy. • Obtains and secures the associated resources to enable implementation of the operational plan • Identifies risks and develops contingency plans. • Develops the Investment strategy to attract new emerging black industrial enterprises for funding • Develop a targeted approach/strategy for funding of high-impact projects through tailor made financial solutions • Monitors performance against agreed targets/goals and initiates action to grow and strengthen the SMME & COOPS portfolio benefiting from financial support • Ensures quality and compliance in project deal structuring, and presentation to committees and internal and external stakeholders • Overseers and Ensures strict adherence to proper due diligence processes for all new funding applications • Overseers the finalization of legal agreements / SLAs in relation to the approved funding • Overseers the Implementation of briefs, engaging the specialist support from partners and other Developmental Financial Institutions (DFIs) • Identifies investment opportunities for the benefit GEP SMME’s and COOPS • Determines financial allocations in accordance with deliverables. • Sets annual performance objectives for employees. • Develops action plans to address poor performance.
