Real Estate Management Post: Manager: Student Transport Services (Ref: L513) Minimum Requirements: • B-Tech / Advanced Diploma in Fleet Management / Transport Management or Logistics (NQF 7) • 6 years’ relevant student bus transportation operations experience • 6 years’ relevant fleet management experience • Valid Driver’s License • Management of higher education transport services would be an added advantage Summary of Duties: • DUT Staff and Student Transport Bus Services Management. • Bus planning, routing and scheduling. • Sound knowledge of the topographical layout of DUT premises and surrounding areas. • Ensure that the operator adherence to SLA’s is always complied with. • Ensure that bus schedules and timetables are drawn in line with residences demand and needs. • Assess and analyze the operators claims before they are submitted to finance for payment. Finance Post: Finance Business Partner (Ref F552) Minimum Requirements: • A 4-year qualification in Finance or Commerce (NQF level 8) or Honours Degree in Finance or Commerce. • 5 years’ Experience in Management Accountant, Finance Management or Finance Analyst. • Experience in the Higher Education sector and/or research sector is highly desirable. • Proven experience in public accounting practice, preferably taxation is desirable. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret raw data and translate it into clear, concise information. • The ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance individuals. • Strong communication and presentation skills • Customer focus • Advanced proficiency in MS office Key Responsibilities: • Provide commercial risk management advice to finance clients. • Provide support and financial advice for the development of innovative business models. • Identify opportunities to add value in the development and execution of the Institution’s Strategic Plan. • Providing financial analysis and insight/analytics, linking financial reports to business strategies • Provide support and financial modelling for the development of business cases. • Assist clients with initiating Finance related processes, requests, submissions, business cases and plans. • Identify and provide business advice, including but not limited to internal reporting, financial accounting and supply chain management and other applicable regulations/legislation that may arise. • Partner with finance clients to ensure reporting requirements are met, including completion of Financial Statements and other financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders. • Partner with finance clients to ensure reporting requirements are met, including completion of Financial Statements and other financial reporting to external and internal stakeholders. • Develop/review/deploy appropriate controls and procedures to manage the management accounting function. • Building and maintaining relationships with senior managers and their departments.
