Examination Invigilators SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING (John Knox Bokwe Campus) Rate per session R240.20 Temporary appointment Applications are invited for suitably qualified and experienced persons to be placed on the College database in order to be considered for temporary appointment as invigilators for the October /November final examinations in 2019. REQUIREMENTS: The invigilator should at least have passed Grade 12 (Matric) or possess an equivalent qualification. Invigilation experience and work experience in an administrative position of more than 1 year at an educational institution would be an advantage. Prior BCC students would be considered and will only qualify if the student has not been at the college after 3years of completion of studies at the institution. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Administer and conduct invigilation for the external examination. Supervise candidates and make sure that they are aware that they are under examination conditions. Organise exam material and stationery provided throughout the period of the examination. To distribute the exam question papers, the stationery to candidates as required and ensure that the regulations laid down by the Department of Higher Education are observed. Maintain order at all times in the examination venue. To return completed exam answer scripts and exam stationery and ensure proper submission process is followed with the examination office at the end of the examination. COMPETENCIES: Invigilator must be familiar with the instructions outlined by the Department of Higher Education. Must give full attention to conducting the exam properly and inform the relevant examination official of the centre if they have any concerns about the exam process. Excellent administration, time management and report writing skills; Must have ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Must have ability to organise work and responsibilities.
