• Prepare and deliver lectures and assess, both undergraduate and post graduate students.

• Coordinate departmental membership in professional bodies. 
• Supervise postgraduate students. 
• Act as external examiner for postgraduate dissertation/ thesis.

We are currently at Phase 9 of recruitment of incumbents. Universities are doing this by recruiting young and aspiring academics holders of Master’s degrees and the successful applicants will be required to register for and complete PhD within the first six years of their employment. The nGAP Lecturer will be responsible for registering and completing a PhD studies within the prescribed period and also perform teaching and mentoring of students responsibilities. The incumbent reports to the HOD in respect of the key performance areas listed hereunder. 
 
Minimum Requirements: 

• Master’s Degree in Internal Auditing OR Master’s Degree in Accounting which must have been passed with an average mark of 70% or above. 
• Applicants must be 40 years or younger. 
• Preference will be given to black South Africans 

 
Key Performance Areas: 

• The successful applicant MUST be committed to register for a higher degree in Doctoral studies in relevant lecturing discipline and produce evidence of successful registration within or before the expiry of the first 6 months from date of appointment

• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Clinical Psychologist, Counselling Psychologist or Registered Counsellor 
• Applicants must be 40 years or younger. 
• Preference will be given to black South Africans
