KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts. • Achieve assigned targets. • Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments. • Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status. • Negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans. • Handle questions or complains. Issue yearly reminder to resubmit indigent application. • Implement the yearly indigent application procedure. • Debiting / Crediting indigent debtors with indigent benefits. • Crediting Accounts with write off journals as directed by the Supervisor after the required approval was obtained. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Responsible for rendering efficient customer care service. • Provides information to customers by verifying understanding of request; answering questions; offering assistance. • Attending to customer queries at the helpdesk, telephonic and email queries ensuring queries are resolved. • Update customer information on the financial system, verify and assist with applicable forms, rebates or programmes being undertaken by the municipality. • Correction and updating of customer information on the financial system. • Correction of customer accounts on the financial system. • Updating of meter readings, journal entries and customer refunds on the financial system. • Assist and work with various departments within the finance department as and when required. • Produce weekly and monthly reports and reconciliations. KNOWLEDGE • The ability to communicate complex information in understandable documents for specific audience. Can lead, conduct, and control the audit work according to norms and standards; and • Supervise junior auditors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepares notification letters and engagements / aligned to the scope and audit objectives of the annual audit plan. • Document audit working papers. Issue audit working papers. Issue audit expectations/ findings. • Conduct follow-up audits and ad-hoc assignments/ investigations as and when requested by management and other bodies. • Prepare clear and concise draft reports that are in accordance with the approved audit methodology / standards; • Finalizes the draft audit report with the reflection of management and auditors response. • Able to do investigations and prepare investigation reports for executives. • Champion and monitor the implementation of the municipality’s risk management strategy and plans, ensuring that the risk management framework and implementation plan are communicated to all stakeholders.
