TSHWANE NORTH TVET COLLEGE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT SALARY LEVEL 11 (Council Post - 24 Months Fixed Term Contract) SALARY: R733 257 per annum (all-inclusive remuneration package) Ref: TNC-CO-21-01-5 CENTRE: Central Office
DUTIES: • Oversee operations of the finance unit, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met; • Supervise staff • review monthly general ledger reconciliations against sub-ledgers and supporting documentation; • Ensure the bank reconciliations are signed off for every bank account • Oversee accurate capturing of invoices to effect payment on time and accurately • Ensure invoices are properly authorized in accordance with levels of authority and allocate to correct supplier / general ledger accounts on a daily basis • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management and council and recommend further courses of action • Monitor and interpret cash flow and forecasts • Help management and council to make financial management decisions • Develop financial management mechanisms that minimise financial risk • Conduct budget reviews and evaluations • Manage financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems • Develop external relationships with appropriate stakeholders e.g. auditors, bankers, SETA's, the Department and other statutory stakeholders • Produce accurate financial reports • Keep abreast of changes/reforms in financial regulations and legislation; •Maintain the financial health of the college • Analyse variable costs and income from state allocations/tuition fees/training fees and the Tshwane North TVET College would like to invite suitably qualified, innovative, result-orientated and self - driven candidates to apply for the vacant positions at their respective college sites.
