It is now offering the following opportunity to a competent and dedicated person to join a dynamic team in Pretoria East:
• Lead the development and execution of small and large innovation projects in line with Gauteng province strategies • Build local and international technology, innovation and thought- leader partnerships to ensure Gauteng is benchmarking its activities against leading global regions • Position The Innovation Hub as a trusted technology and innovation advisor to all three spheres of government and on the African continent • Conduct workshops and forums with technology and thought leaders in target sectors • Develop and implement inbound technology transfer strategy to provide competitiveness to Gauteng companies • Support the implementation of the Township Economy Revitalisation/Transformation, Modernisation and Reindustrialisation provincial strategy • Lead the revision of the Gauteng Innovation and Knowledge Economy Strategy in line with the objectives of transformation, modernisation and re-industrialisation • Support the enterprise development unit and its high growth entrepreneurs in the Smart Industries Sectors to access both public and private sector markets • Implement pilot projects emanating from the innovation initiatives • Develop and manage personal development and growth plans.
Qualifications, experience and skills requirements: The position requires possession of post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Engineering. Innovation and Advanced Manufacturing will be an added advantage space. At least 5 years’ experience in the Innovation Eco-system; in the commercialisation of technologies; in dealing with government, government agencies and programmes; including developing, interpreting and executing government policies and strategies; Knowledge of innovation management practices within organisations, as well as regional innovation policies, systems and programmes
MANAGER: PARTNERSHIPS Reporting to the General Manager: Partnerships, Skills, Development, Monitoring & Evaluation. To provide work with the management team to manage and enhance existing relationships, and cultivating and stewarding current and prospective partners. Responsibilities include: Develop and implement a partnerships strategy • Identify, secure and foster new partnership opportunities in collaboration with the Executive Team • Document proposals and contracts, and monitor all partnerships to ensure positive and stewardship including evaluation and impact assessment of all partnerships • Collaborate closely with the management team to ensure a consistent, central and high-quality partnerships programme • Work with the Marketing and Communications team and others Divisions as well as the GGDA and GDED IGR to profile partnerships where appropriate and develop successful pitches to potential partners • Develop strategic to expand funding and support from current corporate partnerships • Maintain an external orientation and high tempo of external contract with prospective and current corporate partners • Ensure the effective management of relationships through continuous review • Manage customer contact and planning records as well as various partnership and collaboration agreements • Develop and implement partnership management and reporting structures and reports that result in more effective partnership communications & management • Development appropriate relationship management activities.
Qualifications, experience and skills requirements: The position requires possession of a Degree in Business Administration/Management or Communications; Postgraduate qualification in an MBA will be added as an advantage; At least 5 years’ experience in business development and Partnerships Management level/role within corporate services or partnership management or operations environment. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of good track record in sales and business development, either in a technology sector or infrastructure development. Optimise and grow revenue sources; Strategic and business acumen; Finance and investment knowledge; Reporting and presentation skills; PFMA and Treasury regulations and provisions; Organizational and decision-making skills; Strong administrative abilities and multi -tasking skills; Good problem-solving and dispute resolution skills; Strong arithmetic skill; Ability to network with people and gain their respect; An understanding of company, contract and industrial law, and the ability to read legal documents; Administrative and organizational skills; Strategic thinkers with amiable personalities, positive outlooks, and expert communication skills.
