​SENIOR MANAGER: COMMUNICATION AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS
REMUNERATION PACKAGE:

• Salary grade D4 Total Cost to Company (66% pensionable base, 34% to be structured as per individual needs viz Medical Aid, 13th cheque, housing, Travelling Allowance etc.)

 
REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications/Journalism/Public Relations Management.
• A post graduate qualification in the related fields would serve as a recommendation.
• Ten (10) years’ experience in management of Communication/Public Relations.

 
COMPETENCIES
Financial Management (Budget Management), Public Relations, Media & Communication Strategies, Customer Experience, Research & Development, Quality Assurance & Management and Project Management.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures total quality management in all activities relating to the planning, organising, co-ordinating and providing guidance in establishing, developing and maintaining universally acceptable standards in Communications and Stakeholder Relations.
• Assumes responsibility for consultation and communication with the profession and stakeholders.
• Responsible for the management of Council’s public and media Relations.
• Oversee the management of the Customer Care Contact Centre.
• Oversee the management of the Logistics Centre.
• Assumes responsibility for the co-ordination and execution of projects with the goal of improving communications and stakeholder relations.
• Prepare and control the departmental budget in terms of SAPC procurement and financial policies.
• Assumes responsibility for effective employee relationship management in the department: Monitoring, Compliance and Professional Conduct.
• Reports to the Chief Operating Officer on all matters relating to the department communications and stakeholder relations.
