SOUTH AFRICAN NATIONAL SPACE AGENCY (SANSA) MARKETING SPECIALIST (PERMANENT)
MARKETING SPECIALIST (PERMANENT) Reporting to the Chief Sector and Business Developer, the successful candidate will research market conditions and develop and implement a dynamic marketing strategy for SANSA Earth Observations to engage its customers and position its brand, products and services within the South African, African and Global community. The ideal candidate will have: • A postgraduate degree in Marketing or similar relevant qualification • Experience working as a Marketing Specialist in a Science environment (ideal) • 5 – 8 years of working experience as a Marketing Specialist in a related industry • Science / Remote Sensing qualification will be added advantage • Knowledge of project management principles • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and techniques. • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services • Negotiation and persuasion skills • Excellent verbal and writing skills • Storytelling and Creativity. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: • SANSA Earth Observation Marketing strategy development and execution; • Marketing Information System and Customer Relations Management; • Earth Observation Communication Management; • Digital Platform and New Media Management; • Brand Management; • Events Management.
