ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: BIODIVERSITY EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT![]()
The position requires a confident communicator who is able to relate well with a variety of stakeholders at all levels and have good interpersonal, analytical, report-writing, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills. The candidate should demonstrate insight in the relevant policies, strategies and research reports such as the Department of Basic Education’s Curriculum Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS), the National Environmental Management: Biodiversity Act (No.10 of 2004), the Environmental Sector Skills Plan, the national Biodiversity Human Capital Development Strategy (BHCDS) and others. Proven experience in working co-operatively as part of a team, and good communication skills in English and one other official language, will serve as strong recommendations. SANBI offers an annual salary of R417 552.00 (salary level 10) and additional fringe benefits.
