The Chief Officer will lead the implementation of anti-corruption measures, development of support and advice to municipalities on strengthening and monitoring oversight mechanisms and tools to improve accountability and the image of local government. He/she will also develop and implement innovative measures for citizen interface with the municipalities, public participation and responsiveness and consequence management instruments. The development of strategies and programmes that SALGA will champion in the intergovernmental relations and Parliament, NCOP and Provincial Legislatures are further responsibilities.
