SENTECH SENTECH is looking to appoint an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer. The CFO is an executive director and will report to the CEO and the Board through the CEO. SENTECH is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals to join its Executive team as it accelerates implementation of its mandated interventions in the ICT sector. CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER THREE YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT Salary: We offer a competitive remuneration package that is inclusive of medical aid, provident fund and group life benefits. Job Purpose: To develop and implement a financial strategy and to oversee efficient management of the company's Finance division, encompassing financial accounting, management and project accounting, statutory and legislative reporting, Legal and Supply Chain Management functions. The CFO is responsible and accountable for all the financial information submitted to the Chief Executive Officer, the Board (including Board Sub-Committees) and other external stakeholders (e.g. Shareholder; regulators, etc.)
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to: • Guide the Executive Committee and the Board on Financial and related governance matters • Provide and direct overall financial strategy for the company • Effective people management and leadership for the finance division as well as the entire organisation concerning financial and supply chain management related matters • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities • Prepare and present annual budget, financial and funding plans through the CEO and EXCO, for the approval of the Board of directors • Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the preferential procurement policy framework Act(Acts of 2000) at all levels of the company • Manage the company's budget in accordance with the relevant prescripts • Direct the development of business models and plans in anticipation of the Sentech of the future • Coordinate and ensure effective and efficient performance of the financial management functions in all components of the company • Develop and implement best practice policies and procedures to ensure efficient management of the entire finance function • Develop and maintain measures to prevent fraud and maladministration • Ensure maintenance of an accurate system of accounting and provide advanced financial analytics to enable effective recording and reporting of financial affairs of the company • Ensure credibility of Finance function by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts necessary for the strategic decision-making • Ensure that effective internal financial and supply chain management controls are in place • Ensure that sustainability and risk management are a key financial strategic imperative and alert the CEO and the Board of Directors and to warn against any risks of a financial nature • Collaborate and coordinate the activities of outside suppliers of financial services contracted by the company financial consultants, etc. • Oversee the audit process on behalf of Sentech.
