OVERBERG DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY The Overberg District Municipality has the following vacancies in the Directorate Community Services, Department Roads Services, to be filled as soon as possible.
GENERAL ASSISTANT (MAINTENANCE TEAM) (3x BREDASDORP, 2x CALEDON, 7x SWELLENDAM) GENERAL ASSISTANT (RE-GRAVEL TEAM) (1x BREDASDORP) GENERAL ASSISTANT (CONSTRUCTION TEAM) (2x BREDASDORP) Requirements: • Basic literacy • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Must be able to function in a team • Applicants must be literate in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape. Duties: Perform tasks/activities related to general worker duties regarding construction and maintenance on roads, which includes the following: • Executing tar and gravel patch works • Installing and cleaning smaller drainage structures • Controlling traffic during road works • Erecting and repairing road signs • Cleaning side drains and road reserves. Remuneration: T3 = R103 824 – R122 580 per annum plus the normal fringe benefits of a local authority. Closing date: 8 March 2021. Application forms are available at all ODM offices.
