OMBUD FOR FINANCIAL SERVICES PROVIDERS (FAIS OMBUD) INTERNAL & EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS PRACTITIONER The Office of the Ombud for Financial Services Providers (FAIS Ombud) is established in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 37 of 2002 (the FAIS Act). Its objective is to consider and dispose of complaints in a procedurally fair, informal, economical and expeditious manner and by reference to what is equitable in all circumstances. The FAIS Ombud offices are located in the east of Pretoria in Gauteng. In order to discharge its mandate, the FAIS Ombud is seeking to appoint a Marketing & Communications Practitioner to manage our online and offline communication with stakeholders and the media to increase brand awareness.
Coordinate the design of promotional material and distribute in online and offline channels;
Promote the Office of the FAIS Ombud on various media platforms; Generate and plan interviews and press conferences with various media entities; Build and maintain stakeholder relationships; Assist with responses to requests for interviews by stakeholders and media; Draft, in accordance with the Technical Department, and circulate regular newsletters; Track ROI for marketing campaigns; Maintain and manage the content of the website; Monitor the FAIS Ombud website and social media pages and in collaboration with the Technical Department address clients’ queries; Network with industry and consumer bodies to drive brand awareness. The ideal candidate should have the following skills and abilities: A Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or relevant field; 3-5 years proven work experience as a Marketing Communications Practitioner or similar role; Experience within the Financial Services Industry would be an advantage; A passion for public service; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Good presentation skills Hands-on experience with web content management tools, like WordPress Proficiency in MS Office Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics Experience with marketing campaigns on social media; Energetic and self-driven; Results / Output / Deadline driven; A passion for Consumer protection.
