Minimum of five (5) years’ experience at senior managerial level. Extensive experience in the planning and management of roads infrastructure projects. DUTIES: Manage state owned property portfolio, housing accommodation and property payments. To oversee, plan, and co-ordinate the strategic management of state owned immovable properties which includes provision of accommodation for all provincial departments as well as acquisition and disposal of land and redundant properties. Oversee the management and maintenance of Prestige Buildings. Manage prestige property portfolio through the implementation of the ministerial handbook. Manage the implementation of GIAMA to ensure the effective, efficient and economic use and maintenance of immovable assets which includes, pro- active life cycle management of the Provincial building Immovable Asset Portfolio. Oversee the management of the leases and housing rental portfolio including the management of lease contracts as well as co-ordination of property services including the cleaning and gardening services. Produce Asset management Plans that will inform the Provincial Planning and budgeting process. Manage the Immovable Asset Management Policies, Strategies and maintain Provincial Asset Register. Provide guidance and support to User Departments (Client Departments) on the management of immovable assets. Ensure compliance with Asset Management Guidelines as prescribed by Treasury and the Auditor-General through regular conditional assessments and valuation of assets. Implement the infrastructure Delivery Improvement Programme (IDIP) requirements. Ensure that the government policies for the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) and the National Youth Services (NYS) are included in projects.
