Position: Reconciliation Accountant (9 Positions)
Type & Grade: Grade 9
Vacancy No: 63 of 2018/19
Department & Unit: Finance Department
The main purpose of the job is to assist in the internal quality assurance processes to ensure financial assistance is provided to eligible students as required. The Reconciliation Accountant will support the organization in reporting the internal and external stakeholders, analysis of payment instructions/approved claims and tracking, forecasting and anylising utilization of annual allocations.
Key Performance Areas (KPA’s): Pre-emptive Data Management
Duties and Responsibilities: a) Blockages identified are timeously escalated to the relevant stakeholders for resolution.
b) Items escalated are followed up, ensuring speedy resolution of these.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Matric plus a 3-year Accounting/Financial Management qualification
• 5 Years’ Accounting experience of which 3 years must be Reconciliation experience
• Project Management knowledge
Preferred skills and experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Financial Management
• Experience in Public Sector and PFMA
• Knowledge of working with annual financial statements or management accounts
• Comprehensive monthly reporting experience

REMUNERATION & BENEFITS
Remuneration Package: R 488 116 – R 589 633
Total Cost to Company per annum inclusive of all benefits and company contributions.
Benefits and Conditions: Compulsory Medical Aid, Pension Fund & Annual Bonus Included in the above remuneration is the company contribution to our compulsory pension fund (7.5%), medical aid contributions and an annual bonus.
