NATIONAL REGULATOR FOR COMPULSORY SPECIFICATIONS (NRCS) The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) was established on 1 September 2008 in accordance with the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act. It is an agency of the dti, established to administer compulsory specifications and other technical regulations with the view to protect human health and safety, the environment and to ensure fair trade, in accordance with Government policies and guidelines. It is the NRCS intention to promote equity through the filling of posts, according to set Employment Equity targets.
