Purpose: To administer compulsory specifications and technical regulations on behalf of Minister of Trade and Industry by monitoring compliance through inspections and/or evaluation. KPA/ Key outputs:
Requirements/ Experience: Grade 12 & National Diploma – Natural Sciences/Chemical Engineering Valid driver’s license Must be willing to travel Will be required to undergo training for 18 – 24 months Knowledge and Skills: Sound knowledge of the NRCS Act; Sound knowledge of the compulsory specifications related to area speciality; Sound knowledge of the legislation and regulations related to area of speciality which may include but is not limited to the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act, Customs Excise Act, Police Act, PFMA, SANS & ISO, Consumer Protection Act, Trade Metrology Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, National Road Traffic Act; Sound knowledge of risk assessments; Knowledge of Quality Management systems; Knowledge of inspection methods and Processes; and Knowledge of evaluation methods and processes.
