NATIONAL HOME BUILDERS REGISTRATION COUNCIL (NHBRC) CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS AND STAKEHOLDER RELATIONS Peromnes: 06 Contract Type: 5 Year Contract Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer Department/Section: Location: Sunninghill, Johannesburg Gauteng PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Manager: Corporate Communications is responsible for leading the brand and communications team in continually enhancing the NHBRC image; increasing brand awareness, and provide leadership in positioning the NHBRC brand as a world class regulator through advertisements, media, point-of sale, partnerships, and manage stakeholder relationship including Corporate Social Investment Projects (CSI).
• Manage the development and implementation of organisational brand and corporate identity (CI Manual) • Manage and evaluate the positioning of the brand in the industry and establish brand awareness programmes
• Ensure correct implementation pf the CI manual. • Oversee the development, management and implementation of advertising campaigns in order to educate and inform housing consumers and home builders. Audit, Risk, Governance, Compliance and Reporting • Development, implementation and review of policies and procedures for the Section in line with relevant legislation and best practice • Respond to Audit findings timeously • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies • Create and advocate an Ethical culture within area of responsibility • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and ensure good corporate governance • Participate in policy formulation forums, steering committees, task teams and standing committees, to ensure consistency and fair practice. Stakeholder Management • Develop, implement, monitor and review organisation wide stakeholder management strategy and plan • Drive implementation of annual internal and external customer satisfaction/ engagement surveys • Proactively identify Corporate Communication business support needs by identifying and recommending shareholder engagement and collaboration opportunities aimed at enhancing sustainable relations • Work closely within divisions to support specific business unit’s communication needs • Represent the organisation including the shareholder at customer service forums as directed by the CEO and Council. Media Management • Development and implementation of Public Relations strategy • Oversee the implementation of Operational Media Management Plans • Manage all media enquiries • Coach leadership on media engagement techniques • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies. Digital Media Management • Develop and implement digital media strategies • Ensure accurate information is published on digital media platforms • Optimize search ability of NHBRC channels • Promote the use of digital platforms for ease of doing business with NHBRC. Corporate Social Investment • Development and implementation of CSI strategy and plan • Development and implementation of CSI and sponsorship policy and procedures • Implementation and Monitoring of CSI Projects and identify and facilitate sponsorships. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Must hold a Degree in Marketing/Communications/Public Relations • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing/Communications will be an added advantage • Minimum ten 10 years’ experience in the Marketing and Communications field • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in management. APPOINTMENT: The above-mentioned position will be offered on a 5-year contract with a Total-Cost-To-Company (TCTC) package.
