• Communicating with the General Manger (Community Services) on specific Key Performance Areas (Public Safety, Emergency Services and Disaster Management) with view to aligning functions and service delivery objectives as set out in the IDP against the capacity and capacity of the Unit • Work with all relevant Stakeholders in the field of safety & security • Reports on performance of the unit on a monthly basis • Researches and develops strategic policies on safety and security with a purpose of future crime prevention • Prepares and motivates for business plans for funding of planning and Implementation Projects • Monitors the adequacy of current training interventions through the evaluation competency demonstrated in workplace application and prepares assessment and progress reports for inclusion into the consolidated Skills Development Plan of the Municipality • Analyse statistical information pertaining to staff attendance, overtime, leave and addressing deviations or occurrences of abuse and/or workplace conflict through the implementation of corrective measures in accordance with Human Resources Policies and Procedure • Develops and maintains implementation of safety and security program to maximize safety in process with a view to ensure functional integration with relevant stakeholders • Preforms any other duties assigned by competent authority.
CORPORATE SERVICES DEPARTMENT MANAGER: PUBLIC PARTICIPATION & CUSTOMER CARE CONTRACT: FIVE (5) YEAR FIXED TERM CONTRACT TASK GRADE: 16 ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGE: R 934 723,73 P.A per annum MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Matric/ Grade 12 Degree in Public Administration or Management, Social Sciences and/ or Business Studies at NQF L 7 • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience of which three (3) years must be at supervisory level in Local Government Sector or any other sphere of Government. Necessary Competency in the form of CPMD or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage. Computer literacy. Code B Valid Driver’s Licence. Willingness to work under pressure and beyond normal office hours. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Initiate, drive and manage Public Participation and IGR. Coordinate Operation of Community Development Workers, Operation Masiphathisane, Ward Committees Manage budget and personnel of the unit Generate and present monthly and quarterly reports for management Work with the office of the Speaker in the provision of Public Participation Services.
