MANGAUNG METRO PUBLIC EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality hereby invites applications from prospective Presidential Employment Stimulus (PES) candidates residing within the jurisdiction of Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality stipulated work areas, to apply for the undermentioned Expanded Public Works Programme short-term contracts for ten (10) months. Participants who were previously employed in the Mangaung Municipality EPWP, PEP or PES projects will not be considered for this opportunity due to the high unemployment rate. A. PARTICIPANT: Urban Farmer • Daily Stipend: R210,00 • Requirements: South African Citizens, Basic literacy and numeracy skills, Ability to perform physical tasks and work outdoors, Interest in environmental conservation, Willingness to learn and participate in training programmes and establish a business in 2 months 2. TEAM LEADER: Community Recycling and Enterprise Trainee • Daily Stipend: R270,00 • Requirements: South African citizen, Matriculation Certificate, minimum NQF 5 in waste management or environmental-related qualifications, Willingness to learn and participate in training programmes and establish a business in 2 months The applicants for the above positions must reside in and/or close distance to any of the following working area: AREAS: Wepener, Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu, Van Stadenrus, Soutpan, Dewetsdorp, Botshabelo PROGRAMME NAME: Presidential Employment Stimulus – Establishment of Small Scale Biogas Project PARTICIPANT: Agricultural Waste Management-Bioconversion techniques • Daily Stipend: R210,00 • Requirements: South African Citizens, Matriculation Certificate, individuals interested in agricultural waste management, compost making, biogas production, collection of organic matter from different sources, valorisation of organic matter, and establishment of communal vegetable gardens. TEAM LEADER: Agricultural Waste Management-Bioconversion techniques • Daily Stipend: R270,00 • Requirements: South African citizen, Matriculation Certificate, minimum NQF 5 in agricultural or environmental-related qualifications. The applicants for the above positions must reside in and/or close distance to any of the following working area: AREAS: Van Stadenrus, Dewetsdorp, Thaba Nchu: Spitskop, Ratau, Rakhoi, Soutpan, Bloemfontein: Khayelitsha, Phase 7 ADMINISTRATOR: Agricultural Waste Management-Bioconversion techniques • Daily Stipend: R300,00 • Requirements: Minimum of NQF 5 or equivalent, preference will be given to office, admin, and project management related qualifications. Certificate in Computer Literacy, experience will be an added advantage.
