• Monitor and report on water quality affecting water service delivery • Drive the implementation of Ministerial directives to achieve desired outcomes • Manage the implementation of secondary activities • Represent the organization in National forums • Manage all operations in the provision of water services • Manager all resources allocated to achieve desired strategic goals • Assist the Chief Executive in raising resources in the implementation of CAPEX Programme • Drive the process of identifying growth opportunities of Magalies Water • Manage all associated risks in the implementation of strategy • Manager stakeholder relations.
In order to be considered for appointment, candidates must have: B Degree (NOF 8) Qualification in the relevant technical fields; Post Graduate Business Qualification will be an added advantage; 10 years relevant experience of which 5 years must be in water service provision business, and the management of bulk water infrastructure projects, and 5 years as a minimum experience at a senior management level is essential. Applicants should note that a competency assessment may form part of the selection process. Competitive, executive-level performance-based remuneration and benefits package will be negotiated to attract the best available candidates. Recommended candidate will sign a performance contract. EXTERNAL ADVERTISMENT PAYROLL MANAGER (P7) Permanent contract Total Cost to Company. R721 600 per annum The successful candidate will be based at Magalies Water Head Office (Rustenburg) and will be reporting to the Finance Manager, and will: • Develop, update, implement and maintain payroll policies and procedures • Interpret organizations policies and government regulations affecting payroll activities and implements to ensure adherence • Review the input of personnel records to determine correct rates of pay and deductions of newly appointed employees on the payroll system • Review compilation and preparation of other payroll data such as pension, insurance and medical aids payments • Review new and changed remuneration rates on the payroll system to ascertain the validity and accuracy thereof • Direct and review capturing of remuneration information according to the organization's remuneration policies • Review and approve payroll deductions • Direct preparation of all monthly payments including salaries and Board Committee claims • Maintain employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential • Review outside service providers as well as periodic governmental and tax reports such as quarterly labour statistics and IRP5's • Ensure all reconciliation and statutory reports are done timeously, including tax year end • Review and approve all the monthly, bi-annual and annual submissions and returns to SARS and other regulatory authorities In order to be considered for appointment candidates must have: National Diploma in Human Resources/ F. Payroll/ Finance. Payroll Certificate. Minimum of 5 years' experience in payroll environment of which at least 13 years must be at a managerial level. Knowledge of PFMA, Treasury regulations and financial principles. Experience in Sage VIP Payroll System, Sage VIP HR System, and a valid driver's license.
