• Work in particular with the Stakeholder and Communications Manager to maximise engagement on social and new media channels, producing content for use in the digital space such as website, blogs, and podcasts; • Build and maintain a network of relationships with South African based media houses including management of a comprehensive media contacts database; • Support the GM: Stakeholder & Customer Services in providing consultancy, digital and media handling advice to colleagues; • Implement digital media campaigns aligned with business goals • Manage end-to-end digital projects • Stay up-to-date with digital media developments • Media monitoring and tracking • Up-to-date media database • Development and production of the Magalies Water annual report • White press statements and arrange interviews with Magalies Water Executives as and when required. • Handle media enquiries on behalf of the organisation as and when required • Support and draft media scripts, working with other divisions to advance the media interest of the organisation • Assist with communication management and engagement with senior officials, politicians and other key stakeholders • Ensure coverage of Capex events through various media channels • Process requests for advertising in external media platforms, verifying adherence to prescribed codes. • Compile annual budget for media requirements, track and report on utilization per project • Executive other strategic and operational responsibilities as required by GM: Stakeholder and Customer Services.
Qualifications and Experience: B Degree in Media/Journalism/Communications or related NQF Level 7, Post Graduate qualification in Media/Journalism/Communications would be added advantage. Minimum of 3 - 5 years communications/media/Journalism or media environment with exposure to media advertising, event marketing, public relations and stakeholder relations. Well versed in influencer community in South Africa, and well aware of online community content portals in South Africa, understanding of web technologies involved in digital and social platforms, intermediate to advanced knowledge of social media listening tools, excellent analytical and project management skills, familiarity with web design and content management systems, driver's license is a pre-requisite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good planning and organizing skills, sound problem solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of online and print publication production processes - for magazines, posters, brochures, newsletter, etc. Proficiency in English and another South African language. External Advertisement Magalies Water presently has a vacancy for a Information Communication Technology Manager (ICT) R777 700 CTC Annual Package At Head Office in Rustenburg and will be reporting to the GM: Corporate Services and the job function summary: The main purpose of the ICT Manager position is to ensure ICT strategy execution and management of ICT infrastructure for the organisation, overseeing technical projects in alignment with organisational goals, directing the effective delivery of networks, development, and disaster recovery systems and processes. Responsibilities & Duties: • Develop and implement strategy and action plans for the IT department. Ensure integration of ICT with the organisational strategy. • Provide support and on-going engagement with business internal stakeholders and users to identify value-adding IT services / solutions. • Manage SLA's with service providers.• Ensuring effective and efficient network and security administration. Manage all IT asset, hardware and software. • Implementation of business applications for effective and efficient business operations • Responsible for IT risk management and implementation of risk management processes to ensure effective ICT Governance.• Review and management of information processes to resolve identified gaps and weaknesses • Effective management of resources, budgets and staff in the ICT Department • Leading, motivating and developing the capabilities of the ICT team.• Develop IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the organisation.• Manage the effective delivery of networks, system backups and disaster recovery systems and processes. • Effective management of resources, budgets and staff in the ET Department and ensure quarterly reporting to EXCO and ICT Steering Committee. • Oversee all technology operations and manage security systems for IT network. • Prepare budgets and present proposals for capital projects to ICT Steering Committee and EXCO. • Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to EXCO and ICT Steering Committee. • Report to the Board and EXCO on information technology governance issues. Qualifications and Experience: In order to be considered for appointment candidates must have an applicable Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or relevant NQF level 7 qualification in related field with 3 years managerial experience and 5 years experience in the CT environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good planning and organizing skills, sound problem solving and analytical skills. Extensive knowledge of ICT Infrastructure, Systems and Databases.
