• Ensure that visitors and enquiries are promptly and professionally attended to in accordance with customer service standards and principles. • Receive all telephone calls on behalf of the CFO. • Take messages and enquiries for and on behalf the CFO. • Keep an easy accessible record of telephone, facsimile or emails. • Noting and scheduling appointments in a diary of the CFO on instruction, and ensuring realistic time slots therefore, preventing overlapping and see to it that the diary is kept up to date. • Communicating appointment details timely to the CFO. • Doing reservation of accommodation and/or air travel of the CFO for attendance of appointments out of town, filling in necessary documents/travelling and substance claims, obtaining necessary authorisation therefore and forward it to expenditure office. • Making photocopies of small and few documents for the CFO. • Typing letters, memorandums, invitations, notifications, advertisements, reports for council agendas, contracts, agreements, schedules, orders regarding council decisions to be executed. • Taking minutes at certain meetings, typing minutes and handle it according instruction. • Keeping up a leave register of personnel of the CFO.
DIRECTORATE: HUMAN SETTLEMENT AND PLANNING LAND ADMINISTRATOR x 2 Division: Housing and Land Administration Salary scale: R384 415.20 (Post level 6) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 • Law Degree • Computer Literacy • Minimum of 3 years work-related experience KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Develop reports for Council's Committees on any matter relating to land • Facilitate alienation, exchange and or lease of Municipal owned land and acquisition of other properties for residential/business development • Responsible for the general administrative functions for sound and fair administration • To facilitate proclamation and de-proclamation of Municipal roads upon requests from owners • To conduct site inspection of Municipal land to verify occupation or non-occupation • To facilitate issuing of title deeds submitted by the service providers • Ensure permanent/sectional road closure including streets, parks and public open spaces in terms of ordinance • To assist with the facilitation and coordination of land reform programmes and projects with the department of Land Affairs and Regional Land Claims Commission. • To prevent illegal occupation of Municipal Land and enforce evictions orders • To recommend cancellation of bonds as requested by the office of the state attorney • To recommend the disposal / alienation of Council properties • To recommend the appointment of Service Providers • To facilitate the expropriation of Council properties through the Ordinance DIRECTORATE: INFRASTRUCTURE AND TECHNICAL SERVICES ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN: CONNECTION AND METERING Division: Electrical Salary scale: R384 415.20 (Post level 6) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 • National Diploma Electrical Engineering • Computer Literate • Technically Competent • Driver's License • Registration as Technician • Project Management certificate • Metering Course • 3 Years Metering Experience. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Ensure that all elements of Bulk and Demand Metering, associated processes and procedures for Madibeng Electricity functions correctly and efficiently. Energy losses management • Oversee the operational projects to ensure timeous cost effectiveness and quality control • Optimise resources to enhance effectiveness • Ensure of safe operation to adhere to Safety Rules and Regulations • Communicate the information of each project to the relevant role players to ensure effective operations • Oversee and administrating daily operations to ensure an effective and auditable administration function • Oversee and administering of all meter data to ensure an effective and auditable metering information system • Oversee testing, inspecting and administrating of metering installations and equipment for compliance with specifications of existing installations. ARTISAN: ELECTRICAL X2 Division: Electrical Salary scale: R307 468.32 (Post level 8) REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 • National Diploma / Electrical Trade Test • Metering Course • B Drivers licence • Computer literacy • Communication and bilingualism • N5 Certificate (Electrical) or Equivalent • Trade test as an electrician • 4 Years of Metering experience (including Split meters) MAIN DUTIES: • Execute new meter installations (Bulk, LPUs & SPUs), Meter verifications tests, Programming of Meters, Installation of metering units and kiosk (ground & pole mounted), testing of Meters and Meter Audits. • Repair and do Meter replacement, setting parts of metering units, and replacing meter components. • Ensure a safe working environment and eliminate unsafe acts complying to statutory and municipality requirements. • Provide job training to technical officials, senior technical officials and staff in training. • Demonstrate a safe working practices, use and care of tools and equipment. • Inform staff of changes to requirements, policies, directives, Procedures, standards, work practices, guidelines and service agreements. • Provide a one stop technical service to customers. ARTISAN ASSISTANT: ELECTRICAL X2 Division: Electrical Salary scale: R191 292.36 (Post level 11) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Grade 12 • N4 Certificate (Electrical) or Equivalent • Interpersonal skills • Computer literacy • Communication and bilingualism • 3 Years of experience in metering (including Split Meters) KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Execute, new meter installations (Split meters, Bulk, LPUs & SPUs), Meter verifications tests, Programming of Meters, Installation of metering units and kiosk (ground & pole mounted), Testing of Meters, and Meter audits. • Repair and do Meter replacement, setting parts of metering units, and replacing meter components. • Wire of meter units. • Ensures a safe working environment and eliminate unsafe acts complying to statutory and municipality requirements.
