LOCAL GOVERNMENT, WATER AND RELATED SERVICES SETA (LGSETA) The Local Government SETA (LGSETA) was established in terms of the Skills Development Act No. 97 of 1998 and is responsible for skills development within the Local Government Sector.

Manager: Supply Chain Management – (1 Post) Ref No: SCMMAN/001 Responsible for the efficient, equitable, fair and effective procurement for LG SETA. Managing of supplier relations and ensuring that all processes adhere to statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (NQF Level 7); Ideal: Bachelor’s degree (Hons) Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management (NQF level 8); Minimum of 5 years Supply Chain/Logistics management particularly related to managing the purchasing function, compliance with all standards and regulations, budgeting; Expert knowledge of the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act, 2000 (Act 5 of 2000); Broad Based Black Empowerment Act, 2003 (Act 53 of 2003); National SCM Regulatory Framework; Treasury Regulations; Relevant Practice Notes; 5 - 8 years Supply Chain experience with at least 3 years as a Manager: Supply Chain Management. Facilities Officer – (1 Post) Ref No: FCO/001 The position is responsible for supervising and facilitating routine building maintenance tasks of all LGSETA premises. This includes overseeing installation, inspections, repairs, trouble shooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures, and facility equipment. The position is responsible for keeping buildings and facilities in good state to comply with environmental, health, and safety policies. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum: Facilities or Property Management/ Projects Management Diploma or related (NQF Level5) • Applicable courses and seminars on Property/Facilities Management; as well as Contract Administration would be an advantage. 3-5 years’: Experience in Facilities Management; Experience in managing staff/subordinates Knowledge of the OHS Act and COID Act (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases) Working knowledge of the PFMA / PPPFA Report writing and must be computer literate.
