RISK MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to serve as Risk Committee Chairperson of Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality. TERMS OF OFFICE AND REMUNERATIONS: The appointment will be for three (3) years contract and may be subjected to renewal at the discretion of the Accounting Officer of Lepelle-Nkumpi Local Municipality. The appointment will be supported by the terms of reference and a contract. Remuneration will paid as per the Council agreement. REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should preferably have relevant Degree in Risk Management, Auditing/Accounting, and any other equivalent qualification. Strongly encourage individuals with proven knowledge of Municipal environment and operations. Ability to lead, chair and direct Risk Management Committee meetings. Knowledgeable on Municipal Finance Management Act 56 of 2003 and other applicable laws, rules and regulations applicable to Local Government sphere. Availability to attend the Risk Management Committee meetings. Membership of Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) or Institute of Internal Audit South Africa (IIASA) is strongly recommended. KEY OUTPUTS: Assist the Accounting Officer in discharging responsibilities on risk management matters. The Chairperson in conjunction with the Risk Management Committee members will review the following: Review Risk Management Policy, Risk Management Strategy, Risk Management Implementation Plan and Risk Management Committee Charter. Prepare and present Risk Management reports to the Accounting Officer and Audit Committee. Perform any other duties as specified in the terms of reference and Public Sector Risk Management Framework.
