ACCORDANCE WITH THE RULES FOR SENIOR MANAGEMENT SERVICES [SMS]
REQUIREMENTS: An undergraduate qualification at NQF level 7 as recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SADA) and 5 years experience at a middle/senior managerial level. Proficiency in relevant word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software packages. Possession of a valid drivers licence (manual transmission).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: • Manage and facilitate the development and implementation of Youth and Women empowerment programmes • Manage and facilitate the development and implementation of intergenerational programmes in respect of veterans and elderly people. • Manage and facilitate the development and implementation of empowerment programmes for people with disabilities. • Manage the development and implementation of policies • Manage the resources within the component.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, TRAINING AND COMPETANCIES REQUIRED: • Understanding of all relevant prescripts • Interpretation and application of polices / legislations • Project Management skills • Financial Management skills • Strategic Planning and coordination skills • People management and empowerment skills • Analytical, creative and innovative thinking skills.

SALARY: R657 558 PER ANNUM (ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE TO BE STRUCTURED AS PER THE RULES OF THE MMS DISPENSATION)

REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 or equivalent plus an appropriate National Diploma/ Degree with a minimum of 3-5 years' relevant management experience. Computer literacy in the following software packages, namely word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and email. A valid driver's licence (manual transmission).
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Manage Human Resource Utilisation and Capacity Building. Manage Human Resource Administration and Wellness Programme. Develop policies and strategies aimed at improving service delivery. Manage resources of the Sub-directorate.
SKILLS: Good written and verbal communication, interpretation and application of policies/legislation, problem solving and analytical thinking, strategic planning and co-ordination. Knowledge in Public Service Act/ Regulations and strategies.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Experience in research, policy formulation and supervisory skills.
