Transporting of personnel / materials and equipment to specific locations, establishing routes before trip, taking into consideration safety aspects.
Driving vehicles to and from workshops for general servicing and repairs. Conducting and recording details of vehicle safety inspections and / or informs the Foreman to activate maintenance requisitions and confirm service / repair appointments ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVTIES (INFORMATION RECORDING) Inserting the relevant information (quantitative/qualitative) and/or updating transitional information associated with relevant deliveries and collections. Referring to work schedules and registers to correct deviations in entries raised during processing. Collecting / delivering mail / correspondences and documentation to from various departments when required. In terms of the Municipality’s Recruitment Policy, this position is open to candidates from the designated group; however, preference will be given to candidates as per the Municipality’s Employment Equity Plan. All shortlisted candidates will be subjected to security vetting and Competency Assessments.
