Essential knowledge Requirements (This will further serve as an advantage): • Good knowledge of key and related local Government Acts and Regulations (e.g., National Land Transport Act, AARTO, MSA, MFMA, etc.). • Occupational Health, Safety, Operations Risk, Quality and Environmental impact of Heavy vehicles (SHERQ). Good understanding of the Labour Relations and Basic Conditions of Employment Act. Core Skills / Knowledge / Abilities • People Management. • Fleet Management. • Strategic Management. • Transportation Management. • Logistics and Project Management. • Financial Management. • Employee Relations Management. • Occupational Health and Safety. • Contract Management. • Customer and stakeholder relations management. • Interpersonal and communication skills. • Conflict Management skills. • Problem solving skills. • Ability to use Micro-Soft Suite Computer Application Software (Outlook; Excel; word; PowerPoint) • Good Knowledge of Total Quality and Productivity Management. Key performance areas • Fleet Management Strategy Development and implementation • Business Strategy development and implementation. • Cost effectiveness. • Customer service strategy development and implementation. • Provision of Strategic Leadership, Management and direction of the Operations Department. • Provide leadership and direction to the implementation of Operations Management value added processes. • Compile quantitative and qualitative reports and implement findings to improve quantity and quality of service delivery. • Risk management and internal control. • Departmental Management. • Financial Management including Expenditure and Revenue Management.
