Manager: Technical Services Job Grade: TCC • Employment Status : Permanent Purpose:To Manage Workshop Activities. Essential Requirements:• Qualified Artisan with Business Management Degree. • 6-10 Years in a similar position Supervisory Experience plus Business Management Experience. Key performance areas:• To comply with all budget parameters and stay within all budget cost limits by monitoring all sections expenditure reports, to keep within parameters. • To ensure that all vehicles are serviced on time and to the correct manufacturers recommendations. By reviewing all Section Foremen reports. To keep within vehicles service intervals and ensure that maximum life is obtained from all • A units (engines, gearboxes and axles). • To provide Operations with their approved daily requirement of buses by ensuring that daily 0.0.0 list is 10% of depot fleet or lower by monitoring breakdowns daily and ensure that all breakdowns have quality repairs done and signed off by a Supervisor. Artisan Diesel Mechanical (x9) Job Grade : C2 • Employment Status : Permanent Location: Metrobus Various Depots Purpose:To ensure that the bus mechanical components are in good serviceable condition. Essential Requirements:• Qualified Artisan with Trade Test Certificate. • Grade 12 • A good understanding of mechanical repairs. • 3-5 years working in a similar environment with commercial vehicles. Key performance areas: (1) To ensure that the bus mechanical components are in good serviceable condition. • By ensuring that services are up to date and within kilometres services range. • Service documents to be completed and signed.• Service to be done according to service sheet and marked accordingly on service matrix chart. (2) Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical testing procedures as required • By making use of the special equipment • To improve efficiency and accuracy. (3) Carry out all work according to maintenance procedures and standards by wearing protective clothing & protective equipment at all times. • To prevent injury. (4) Report all obvious unsafe problems to relevant Foreman whilst carrying out visual inspection to prevent breakdowns whilst in operation.
