Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo IT Governance and Security Specialist X1 (Permanent)
• Ensures that systems and procedures are in compliance with industry standards, e.g. ISO 27000 — 27004 • Promotes and supports a culture of IT compliance, risk avoidance/mitigation and corporate accountability throughout the organisation • Liaises with all departments and IT users to ensure compliance and correction of all IT governance issues • Identifies and implements opportunities for automation or efficiencies to improve governance / audit controls • Develops IT security policy and procedures • Reviews infrastructure and network systems, including configuration and architecture, in order to asses risk and improve information security • Provides implementation roadmaps for IT security projects to ensure security controls and measurements are put in place • Liaises with all departments and IT users to ensure compliance and correction of all IT security issues • Manages a vulnerability management system in line with current risk management system and compliance management • Develops and maintains security and compliance awareness campaigns • Develops user guides to aid implementation • Performs training on key security aspects and process changes.
Knowledge & Skills: • In depth knowledge of legislation pertaining to ICT environment • Extensive knowledge of network security (e.g. network administration protocols, firewall management, DMZ implementation) • Extensive knowledge of IT Governance best practise • Knowledge of Mobile Devices Management (MDM) • Extensive knowledge of relevant IT solutions, products and services (e.g. MS Exchange Server, SharePoint, SQL Database servers, Active Directory services) • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Strong understanding of how business operates (Business acumen) • Ability to translate strategy into operational plans and activities • Knowledge of organisational policies and procedures • Understanding of political protocol • Communication: excellent verbal and written skills • Analytical thinking • Proactive planning and organizational skills Interested applicants kindly forward your CVs (only CVs) to ITgov@jhbcityparks.com Workplace: Braamfontein Contact Person: Abongwe Mini Tel: 011 712-6601 Closing date: 9 June 2019 Note: Johannesburg Parks and Zoo is an equal opportunity employer.
