FILM AND PUBLICATION BOARD (FPB) The Film and Publication Board (FPB) is a statutory body, with its main task being the classification of films, videos, DVDs, computer games and certain publications, including online content for their suitable age viewership. Our mission is to "ensure the regulation of media entertainment content by empowering the public, contributing to child protection and promoting industry growth". INVITATION FOR NOMINATION OF CLASSIFIERS TARGETED SELECTION The Council of the Film and Publication Board invites nominations or self-nominated South African citizens residing in Gauteng to serve on the Film and Publication Board as Classifiers. The FPB Council appoints Classifiers to classify content in terms of the Films and Publications Act, seeks to appoint a pool of Classifiers reflective of the diversity of South African society as follows:
