EDUCATION, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PRACTICES SECTOR EDUCATION TRAINING AUTHORITY (ETDP-SETA) The ETDP SETA is looking for competent, self - motivated and dynamic candidates to fill the following positions:
Qualifications, experience and knowledge required: • An appropriate Bachelor's degree in Education, Training and Development or a relevant ETD tertiary qualification (NQF Level 7). An expressed knowledge of Project Management will serve as an added advantage. • At least 5 years ETD experience in skills development processes with 2 years Project Management related experience • Sound knowledge of Skills Development legislative frameworks, including the Skills Development Act (SDA), Skills Development Levies Act (SDLA), South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA Act) and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), etc. • Project scheduling, budgeting and administrative tasks skills • Ability to plan and organise work, using own initiative • Willingness to work outside of official hours and under pressure • Computer skills (MS Office packages) and an ability to work with data • A valid driver's license is essential. Knowledge and skills: Good communication, facilitation, presentation and writing skills • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well within a team and independently • Good conflict resolution skills • Sound report-writing skills; and • Ability to communicate processes effectively and adhere to timeframes and specific deadlines. Administrator: Account Payments (Ref: ETDP/A 03/21) Salary: R376 745, 81 (Total Cost To Company) Job Purpose: The successful candidate will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and .processing of accounts payable transactions (Discretionary Grants). The incumbent will also be responsible for processing invoices and issuing payments and will provide financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Financial Accountant. Qualifications, experience and knowledge required: • Must be in possession of a National Diploma in Accounting. A Bachelor Degree in Accounting will serve as an added advantage • 2 years' experience in accounts payable or general accounting experience • Demonstrable experience in financial administration • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles • Demonstrable skills in MS Office packages • Understanding of Great Plains Accounting Software (GP) competency skills • Knowledge of general accounting procedures • Proficient in data entry and management • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent time management skill • Detail-oriented and excellent organisational skill • Capacity to prioritise tasks and work under pressure • Resilience and Agility • Excellent interpersonal skill • Excellent verbal and written communication skill • Work independently and ability to consistently meet all tight deadlines • Analytical and problem solving skills • Organized and results driven • Customer service orientation and negotiation skills. Provincial Administrator - Kwa- Zulu Natal (Ref: ETDP/KZN/PA 04/21) Salary: R376 745, 81 (Total Cost To Company) Job Purpose: The successful incumbent will provide administrative support to both projects put in place in the province as well as administrative support in the running of the provincial office of ETDP SETA. The successful applicant will be based at the ETDP SETA office located in Durban and will be reporting to the Provincial Manager. The successful incumbent must have the following minimum requirements: Qualifications, experience and knowledge required: • Must be in possession of a National Diploma in Office Administration/Business Administration or Office Management. A Project Management qualification will be advantageous • 3 years administration experience or experience in similar role of which at least 2 years' administration experience must have preferably been within the ETD sector or Public sector • Advanced Computer Literacy especially MS Office packages • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) • Strong analytical and technical skills • Excellent planning abilities and organising skills • Ability to cope with pressure and deadlines in a fast-moving environment • Meticulous with strong attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to work in a team, with the willingness to put in extra effort and time when the team is under pressure and excellent interpersonal skills • An ability to work with data and to do reconciliations. Provincial Receptionist and Switchboard Operator Limpopo Province (Ref: ETDP/LP/PR 05/21) Salary: R 142 364, 88 per annum (Total Cost to Company) Job Purpose: Under the Provincial Manager supervision and as the first point contact with the Provincial office, the incumbent will add value by ensuring that all visitors and callers are courteously, professionally and efficiently attended to as per the ETDP SETA requirements and policies. Provide information to caller or transfers calls to appropriate offices; performs clerical and other related duties as required. The successful applicant will be based at the ETDP SETA office located in Polokwane (Limpopo). Qualifications, experience and knowledge required: • Must be in possession of a senior certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent • A completion of acceptable training in switchboard operation desired • A minimum of 3 year's Receptionist and /or Switchboard Operator experience • Advanced Computer Literacy especially MS Office packages • Proven telephone etiquette and problem-solving skills • Oral and written communication skills • Ability to work under pressure and think pro-actively where required • High levels of personal planning and organising skills • Have the ability to exchange information in a polite and helpful manner / and must have a passion for customer service excellence • Good Interpersonal relations. The successful incumbents will be required to enter into a Performance Contract with the ETDP SETA.
