EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT The Eastern Cape Gambling Board is a statutory body established for the purposes of regulating gambling in the Eastern Cape Province. The Board is located in the scenic coastal city of East London. AUDITOR DIVISION: AUDIT & COMPLIANCE TOTAL COST TO COMPANY – R615 333 PER ANNUM Requirements: BTech Internal Audit/Financial Information Systems/Cost and Management Accounting or B Comm in Accounting/Information Systems or equivalent qualification •Completed Articles or relevant work experience of 6 years within the internal and/or external audit environment • 3-6 years post articles experience will be an added advantage •A valid Code B/EB Driver’s License. Key Performance Areas: • Plan, conduct and report on the compliance audits for all licensees in the Eastern Cape Province • Plan, conduct and report on the revenue audits for all licensees in the Eastern Cape Province • Plan, conduct and report on the systems audits for all licensees in the Eastern Cape Province • Plan, conduct and report on compliance with other Regulatory legislation, e.g. FICA/POPIA for all licensees in the Eastern Cape Province •Conduct a review and analysis of the Audited/ Reviewed Annual Financial Statements of Licensees •Plan, conduct and report on the review of the Internal Control Systems for all licensees in the Eastern Cape Province. PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO EXECUTIVE MANAGER - COMPLIANCE AND LICENSING DIVISION: COMPLIANCE AND LICENSING TOTAL COST TO COMPANY – R302 856 PER ANNUM Requirements: • Matric plus secretarial / office administration Diploma • 3-year Tertiary Qualification in Office Management / Administration or relevant equivalent qualification will be an added advantage • Minimum 2-3 years secretarial experience • Code 8 Driver’s license. Competencies and Skills: • Advanced Computer literacy • Report writing skills • Excellent communication skills • Excellent interpersonal skills • Adaptability • Meticulous with attention to detail • Teamwork and support • Able to take initiative and use own judgement • Professional and hardworking with a positive attitude. Key Performance Areas: • Liaising with internal staff to ensure the meeting of deadlines and targets as per the Organization’s Operational Plan & APP • Screening and monitoring of all incoming calls and visitors for the Executive • Manage the executive’s diary by scheduling meetings / appointments / conferences / and events Taking of accurate minutes during the meetings• Arrange and facilitate domestic travel arrangements for the executive and others within the Division • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence and distributing to the relevant staff members • Prepare, proofread and edit documents • Maintain and reconcile monthly attendance registers • Coordinate the submissions of the completed POE files to be signed by the Executive and then uploading the approved POE files to the electronic system • Coordinate Committee Meetings • Facilitate engagements with external stakeholders • Maintain record keeping of all documents and up to date filing system.
