Key Performance Areas: Be responsible for projects planning and design, including compiling business plans for new infrastructure. Ensure project compliance with all applicable legislation, policies and conditions applicable to MIG. Monitor and report progress to immediate supervisor on PMU Projects taking place within the municipality. Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with business plan conditions. Provide technical support to non-technical departments on planning, construction and implementation of capital projects. Liaise with internal and external stakeholder. Coordinate the handover of completed PMU projects. Perform relevant administration functions and any other duties pertaining to PMU as may be directed by the immediate supervisor. Adhere to all relevant construction conditions of contracts when monitoring projects. Department : Project Management Unit Position : PMU Data Capturer Salary : R210 697.45— R240 496.14 Duration : Fixed Five (5) Year Contract (All Inclusive) Minimum Requirements • Grade 12 (Matric Certificate) • Computer literacy (MS Excel and MS Word). Experience in information systems and information management, data capturing in project related and project management experience. Key. Performance• Data capture all relative PMU information (e.g. MIG-MIS forms, NDPG-MIS, EPWD forms and (MIS Project Management Data, Filling of project related data • Assists with compiling reports and business plans ,Gather and assist to capture and process project Management data for the project management unit, Managing and Maintenance of the national MIS-Project registration system, Liaise with Provincial and National IT specialist on related MIS system issues, Preparation of all necessary reports dates to municipal, the relevant provincial and national departments, Support and assist with all administrative duties required by PMU team, Register maintenance: site —visit reports, OH&S register etc. Administrative and co-ordination support to the Projects Manager (PMU Manager) Department : LED AND TOURISM Position : Museum Curator Salary : R339 840-00 per annum excluding service benefits Duration : Permanent Minimum Requirements: B degree or National Diploma in Fine Arts or Majoring in History or equivalent relevant qualification, Three (3) years relevant experience in a museum environment, Computer Literacy required including data base usage, knowledge in South African history and culture is essential in order to provide the relevant expertise needed, Batho Pele principles and ethics, Expert In charge of the type of collection (drawings, paintings, art, etc.). Skills and Knowledge: Research skills, Good and communication skills, attention to detail in recording and documenting, Batho Pele principles and ethics, integrity and professionalism. Key Performance Areas: Oversees the care, display and information about the objects in the museum, Assists in assembling the museum catalogues, Plans tours and other programs for museum visitors of all ages, Conceptualize and develop exhibits, Guides and teaches visitors on tour of the museum, Answer enquiries from the public about the objects in the museum, Adding to the collection organizing proper storage, preservation and describing the collection, Developing displays and contributing to museum policy. Department : Planning & Development Position : Manager: Planning Salary : R571500-00 per annum excluding service benefits Duration : Permanent Minimum Requirements:B degree or National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning or Development studies or relevant equivalent qualification, Five (5) years experience with three (3) in town and regional planning environment, Computer Literacy and A valid driver's license. Key Performance Areas: Rendering town planning services received from other, Ensuring town planning requirements are complied with, Providing supervision and monitoring subordinates to ensure performance, Assist the public with town planning and development issues by providing relevant town planning Information, providing direction to the public/ developers regarding land use planning applications from a town planning view, issuing zoning certificates in respect of existing land use rights to the public upon requests, scrutinize building plans with regard to zoning schemes, receiving applications from public /developers regarding land use and subdivisions, identify internal and external departments and organizations as well as surrounding property owners who need to be consulted for input regarding the application submitted. Department : Community Services Position : Manager: Libraries Salary : R571 500-00 per annum excluding service benefits Duration : Permanent Minimum Requirements: B degree or National Diploma in Library and Information Science or relevant equivalent qualification, Five (5) years experience with three (3) in the relevant field, Computer Literacy, A valid Driver's license. Key Performance Areas: To manage libraries and Information services resources, supervise the Unit and give training and guidance to staff in performance of their tasks, Manage the allocated information resources budget in order to provide needs of the library users, To give support to the Directorate In the strategic planning and development of the library services to realize the mission and goals of the libraries and information services.
